Chateau de Balarin
Stunning undiscovered part of France, history from the Romans through the 100 years war. Wonderful food and wine. Hosts are determined to show the best of the region in return for easy 5 hours a day. Access to internet, car(subject to driving licence and insurance), accomodation in separate cottage with TV and internet.
We welcome those who choose to spend some time with us, We are not looking for a long term commitment, just a few weeks in a wonderful location

Chateau de Balarin is truly a special place. This was my first worldpackers experience, and I couldn’t have been better accommodated! Mary is the most wonderful host. She made sure I saw the local villages, took me out for dinner, and even let me use the car later on in the week to do my own exploring. The work is completely manageable, to be completed at your own pace, and the tasks easy and clear; most of my jobs were general housekeeping and cleaning to get the chateau ready for a rental. I would recommend this experience for anyone interested in visiting this beautiful part of France!

This experience far exceeded our expectations. It was the best first worldpackers experience we could have hoped for. The hosts are very kind, super generous, and were great to work with. The area is out of a storybook. Note this is not for the person looking for a party life. This is a very quiet town in South France although there are many tiny cities around. The work is easy even when it's hard. They give a lot and in return you should be there to work and help them. We had a beautiful one month experience. This set the bar very high. I am so grateful.

Isaac & Tati were such lovely World Packeds to have helping at our Family Chateau. We enjoyed our time with them
No task was too much . They were both super diligent and talented from sorting cupboards to rearranging entire rooms and cooking us beautiful food they weed an amazing addition to our household. Painting , decorating and organising amongst many varied tasks
Isaac was a true Wiz with a camera and drone and made a beautiful film of our property ! Thank you so much Guys!

Ha sido una maravillosa experiencia empezando por la atención de Mary, en todo momento estuvo atenta de que no nos faltara nada y estuviéramos a gusto, es una excelente persona, al igual que Tim y su esposa estuvieron pendientes de nosotros en todo momento, además del paisaje maravilloso que tiene en todos sus alrededores, las tareas que realizamos fueron sencillas como lijar un poco, limpiar y pintar, si deseas puedes usar las bicicletas para conocer los alrededores del castillo de Balarin, les deseo muchas bendiciones y que sigan los éxitos,muchas gracias por todo

This was the best volunteering , Mary is an incredible hostess, from the first moment she treated us very well, always very attentive if we needed something, she took us to see some beautiful places, she is a very kind person, intelligent and interesting, we were also able to practice our English with her, about the place wow beautiful, we fell in love, a lot of nature and incredible landscapes, beautiful churches, castles. the activities were easy, we were painting windows, we stayed in a whole house for ourselves, and Mary gave us the money to buy our own food. We are really thankfull :)
