Chez Zany - Santa Tereza
Our hostel is the perfect place in between meeting new people and having space for you. We host around 10 ~ 15 guests per time, and we really look forward to be more then a place to sleep. We have a loooot of plants - really! And also a garden with vegetables.
The staff has 3 persons - me (Julia), Leandro (my partner) and Elaine (our super cleaner). Me and Leandro works 9am-6pm in a company - me as a business developer and Leandro as a UX designer - and Elaine goes to the hostel on mondays and thurdays. The volunteer will have a lot of freedom, but we will trust on them to develop the best work as possible =)

Chez Zany fue mi primera experiencia como voluntaria y no me arrepiento de haberlo elegido para empezar mi viaje. El hostel es acogedor y sus propietarios excelentes personas. Siempre les estaré agradecida por su respeto, comprensión y solidaridad. Lamentablemente, a los pocos días de haber llegado la emergencia de la pandemia de COViD-19 que se instaló en el mundo, hizo que los planes cambiaran para todos, huéspedes, voluntarios, propietarios, todos sin excepción. Julia y Leandro aceptaron que me quedara en el hostel, cuidando las plantas y manteniendo los espacios y la seguridad del lugar.

Una experiencia increíble❤ desde la energía que se vive en el hostel hasta su anfitriona Julia, que es un amor de persona, 100% dedicada a sus voluntarios y huéspedes. Las tareas a realizar son muy fáciles y los beneficios de estar en una de las zonas más lindas de Río es maravilloso. Estoy muy agradecida por la experiencia ❤

Working at chez zany was a wonderful experience. The schedule is flexible and the house is a place of peace in the middle of Rio. All you have to do is helping to maintain that good energy of the house. Julia is a great host, a kind and generous person. So far, it has been my favorite experience with Worldpackers. =) miss it already!

O espaço do Chez Zany é SUUUPER agradável. o ambiente é limpo, bonito e organizado. A Julia (anfitriã) é uma fofinha (: Durante todo o tempo que permaneci lá eu me senti muito bem. Vivi bons momentos lá ^^
