I had the best time at the Children’s Home! I was only there for a short week but became very attached to the sweet family and the children whom I met with for an hour each day. The food was wonderful and plentiful but what filled me up most was the spirits of the children regardless of how much they came from. This was well immersive as the neighborhood is more ‘down home’ than the tourist area of Kathmandu. I had such a lovely time here! Very thankful.

Amazing opportunity to immerse yourself in the local community and make heartfelt connections with the children, hosts, and locals. The hosts treated me like family, fed me well, showed me around the town they live in and also accompanied me to central Kathmandu, taught me about Nepali culture, and showed me some cool Nepali games. In addition to the one hour per day that I was teaching and playing games with the children who come to the hosts home, I was also offered the opportunity to teach at a local secondary school. I had a very touching and memorable experience.

I had an incredible experience at the Children home! From the moment I arrived, I felt warmly welcomed and very comfortable in the family-like atmosphere. I really enjoyed teaching and spending time with the children; it was a truly rewarding experience! They were so motivated and heartwarming, and definitely taught me a lot! I could also assist at a public school, which was another fantastic experience! This stay was a wonderful way to get to know the Nepali culture, engage with the locals, and enjoy delicious meals prepared by the host mom. I’m very grateful, hope to see you soon! Thank you

I had an unforgettable stay at the Children’s Home Nepal! Sujan’s family were so warm and welcoming from the moment I arrived. I cherished my time with the host mother, cooking delicious Nepali dishes daily. The host father was always happy to help with sightseeing and organizing other valuable volunteering opportunities. The children are so lovely, clever, and eager to learn, and I loved spending time with them. I learned about the challenges of vulnerable children in the community and felt immersed in the local culture. It was one of the most beautiful and fulfilling experiences of my life
