Cusimaky Cusco
Real impact on children's lives
At Cusimaky we work with children in vulnerable situations in San Jerónimo, in Cusco, providing them with academic support, creative activities and moments of play. Each volunteer directly contributes to their intellectual, emotional and social development, making a tangible difference in their lives.
Educational and formative experience
Our volunteers have the opportunity to teach, guide and accompany the children, applying their knowledge and developing new pedagogical skills. They can also create workshops, games and educational activities, boosting their creativity and leadership.
Close and welcoming environment
At Cusimaky we believe in taking care of our volunteers. From coordination to accommodation, we ensure that every person feels welcome, valued and supported, because we know that their time and effort are essential to the project.
Cultural learning
By working at Cusimaky, volunteers immerse themselves in the rich Peruvian culture, learn about local traditions and develop a deep understanding of life in Cusco. It is an experience that combines volunteering with cultural discovery.
Teamwork and community
The project not only involves the children and volunteers, but also the families of the neighborhood and the local community. This creates a collaborative environment where every action counts and every volunteer is part of a collective effort.
Flexibility and support
From Barcelona and Cusco we coordinate all activities so that volunteers have clarity about their responsibilities, schedules and resources. We have a dedicated team that provides guidance, support and follow-up throughout the experience.
In short: Choosing Cusimaky means combining learning, social impact, cultural immersion and personal development, while contributing to the well-being of children who really need it. Here your time and effort are not only appreciated, but they transform lives.
Hello! My name is Yeniffer. I am from San Jerónimo, Cusco, and I currently reside in Barcelona, Spain, from where I coordinate international activities and manage our community. Our project is a beautiful family and community network: in Cusco, my mother (retired nurse) takes care of giving a warm welcome and looking after the volunteers in our accommodation, while Liz, our local coordinator, runs the association hand in hand with the dedicated mothers of the community.
We are fully committed to the well-being, education and development of our children. For us, volunteers are the heart of this project; we know that without their help and energy, our daily work would be much more difficult. That is why we will welcome you with deep gratitude, respect and consideration, valuing every minute of the time and talent you decide to share with us.
Welcome to the Cusimaky family!
