Selamat Datang! Welcome to Dorms KL Bukit Bintang in the heart of Kuala Lumpur. At Dorms KL we would like to welcome backpackers and explorers from around the world to create a warm atmosphere to relax in. After the lockdowns ended we moved to a new property and reopened - we need your help to rebuild the vibes!
My name is Darcy Cardinal from Canada, aka the great white north. I started travelling just before the lockdowns and worked in hospitality for over a decade. Right now at Dorms KL we just have two staff members but we would like to expand our team to help out with a new bar and get people into the beds.

Great hostel in a prime location in the hostel. There's many other volunteers from all over the world to connect with, and the owners are super nice and accommodating. I'd definitely come back!

I loved my stay at hostels. Zen and Alex are engaging , patient , welcoming and always helpful they are always good with communication and also flexible . You don't just volunteer you are part of a family . Very grateful for this experience

Alex and Zen are nice and welcoming people. Even if you make mistakes they are understanding and still want you to enjoy your time in the hostel. They have 2 hostels which I volunteered in both were great. the hostel are nice with ac and clean beds. They offer laundry service for staff and a kitchen to cook. I have had lots of fun spending time playing board games and cooking with guests and staff. I learned how to do reception with the computer system and the best part was bartending. My stay was great here and I would come back in the future.

During my volunteering at the hostel in Malaysia I found much more than a place of service: living with travelers from different cultures allowed me to value hospitality as a bridge of respect and understanding, and every task, from the simplest to the most demanding, became an opportunity to grow in discipline, patience, and empathy; by sharing with the team I discovered that volunteering is not only about giving, but also about receiving lessons, friendship, and memories that transcend borders, confirming that serving with joy opens invisible doors and leaves lasting marks both.

This was my second time volunteering, and the experience was just as wonderful as the first. Everyone is so kind and always willing to help. I'd definitely love to return again after my trip to the Philippines!
