Volunteering consisted of gardening activities during the day and assisting with the dinner service in the late afternoon and evening. The place is isolated, so I recommend stocking up on supplies and bringing some formal clothing for the dinner service. Eco River is a family business, ideal for nomadic travelers, backpackers, and nature lovers who appreciate an ecological and outdoor lifestyle.

Overall the experience was good: the tasks were as agreed and the place is amazing. If you like gardening, it's the perfect spot; if not, it can feel a bit heavy due to the sun and heat. The kitchen shift is simple, but it's usually from 7pm to 9:30 pm. The team is good: Aida is very friendly, Fatia cooks delicious food, and the guys are always willing to help. Interaction with the host sometimes felt tense and one-sided but if you do a good job and don't take it personally, you won't have any issues. Please ask them to explain everything on the first day :)

The experience the reserve gave us is incredible. We were warmly welcomed by the family who were helpful, flexible and motivating all along. This is a place where you truly and sincerely have the opportunity to unite with nature and start respecting it more. That's a fact that the place is remote, but a very friendly village with a great restaurant is nearby. I recommend this opportunity to those who really want to disconnect and immerse themselves in the nature.
