I did a mural and some other painting jobs. It was nice and fulfilling work. The host was on a holiday during my entire stay so we did not get to meet in person. It's a shame that we didn't get to spent time together and that he could't show me more about Puerto Morelos for example. I had to be a bit more flexible to figure things out myself. However, it was still very nice that he trusted me to live inside his house for a couple of weeks.

Esteban is a very open and helpful host. He has clear requirements for the tasks to be done. These include, among other things, keeping the house and the garden clean and in good condition and they are feasible within the given timeframe. After work, you can easily unwind by the pool of the gated community, because the home is located in an extremely quiet natural setting. Therefore Esteban also offers that you can go with him to the supermarket in town or that he brings groceries. During my stay I was lucky to be able to use a private room and to go on a snorkeling excursion with him.

La casa permite disfrutar del canto de las aves, de la presencia majestuosa de la iguana gorda, de las familias de ñeques en su recorrido mañanero. I had a great experience as an artist coming into the house. I felt welcomed and it was a great creative space to be in. The host was very flexible and accommodating. I would recommend this to friends. The rooms were comfortable and the house, gym and pool were amazing!
