In Tarifa you’ll enjoy a very special time, and we offer possible employment if you have the necessary documentation for it, there is a lot of camaraderie and enjoyment. It is located in the heart of Tarifa, the paradise of the peninsula's wind where you'll have the opportunity to enjoy its beaches and various options for water sports (so if you love surfing or kiteboarding, this is your place!). Tarifa is the southernmost point of Europe, where the waters of the Mediterranean Sea meet those of the Atlantic Ocean; from here you can enjoy a unique view of Africa (only 14 km away!). Its picturesque streets will take you back in time, and the joy and the relaxed atmosphere that exist among its bars and shops make it a place worth experiencing.

We are a family-run business; our approach is close and warm, you will surely feel at home. Respect and communication are our pillars for good coexistence; we expect reciprocity from the person who comes. Accommodation is in a shared house about a 15-minute walk from the inn.

This experience wasn't as I expected. Shifts often changed at the last minute, making it difficult to plan free time. The work wasn't physically hard, but it was mentally stressful: the host expected a high level of commitment and responsibility, and it was discouraging to be constantly criticized and judged despite our efforts. I didn't have any personal problems, but I didn't like the overall atmosphere: people unhappy, stressed, and some volunteers were asked to leave because they weren't considered "good enough." Volunteering should be based on mutual respect, i didn't find it here.

Volunteering was an experience in which we all took away more learning than what volunteering offered.
During the work, some aspects could be improved and made more pleasant for the volunteers, even so, it's about always improving and learning constantly.

Emilia was a host who offered us a shared room with sea views and tried to make us feel welcome.

I am deeply affected by the way volunteers are treated when a difficult situation arises or they are not comfortable with it. I witnessed how they dragged a girl out, shouting; they didn’t give her even 3 days to find another volunteering opportunity, they informed her from one day to the next that she had to leave. The next day, since the girl did not go to the volunteering site because she needed to find a new place, they woke her up shouting, telling her that she had 1 hour to leave or they would throw all her belongings out on the street. It was really verbally and psychologically violent. For this reason I decided to leave earlier, as I did not feel it was safe there.

It seemed like an excellent opportunity. I met people from other countries, I learned about the local culture and its customs. Additionally, Tarifa is a beautiful place.

I spent 9 wonderful weeks in Tarifa. The town has a special charm.
The work was easy and the hours were respected as agreed.
It was my first experience with Worldpackers and it couldn't have been better.
Thank you for everything! The memories of this summer I will carry in my heart forever.
