We seek here to offer all who visit us favorable conditions for life and the development of the Self, through the different participation options in the school, we empower the expansion of ecological consciousness and the creation of a regenerative culture. The invitation is to experience a new form of habitat, integrated into life in an ecovillage with international recognition, in contact with nature and a light and pleasant pace of life, surrounded by people and projects that dedicate themselves to planetary regeneration, far from the chaos, excesses and stress of large cities.
We are a non-profit organization and co-create a regenerative culture in a collaborative way through permaculture and ecological practices.
The School was founded in 2011 from the dream of transforming 4hec of degraded area into a large fruit forest, and it has become a reference in environmental management through the small-scale technologies developed.
We are responsible for the waste management of the Piracanga ecovillage, we support and develop several socio-environmental impact projects.
We are in continuous development and we welcome people to our immersion programs to share knowledge and learnings.

Que experience INCREDIBLE! I was very well received by the residents of the project and by the whole village of Piracanga. I learned composting from scratch and it's the main task of volunteering: taking care of the chicken coop, which involves feeding the chickens and doing the composting in the late afternoon. The host Diana instructed the other tasks very well, fetching and bringing clothes to the laundry, painting the school signs and whatever else may arise as needed to be done. The food in the village is expensive and to go out and come back is difficult and expensive, go prepared for this extra cost! Overall I LOVED it and I want to return, GRATITUDE

Great experience! The people were very welcoming, the food excellent, and perfect if you enjoy a hippie, communal lifestyle focused on sustainability, with many shared activities in the village. It's not really a volunteering experience as the only task is cooking once a week, the price is hostel-like, but it was communicated unclearly and higher than expected in high season. While you learn a lot about sustainability, the social dimension is more debatable, as living there is only possible for wealthier people, while much of the hard work seems to be done by workers from poorer villages

The place is beautiful, and most of the team is very welcoming. They provide a great learning experience about sustainability and, above all, conscious consumption. The experience was very good. Regarding possible improvements, I suggest that one of the team members is always available to guide volunteers during the chicken-care schedule. I also suggest keeping two shifts per week free so that volunteers can enjoy activities outside the project, from Monday to Friday.

My stay in Piracanga was incredible. It was a life-changing experience that I will keep forever in my heart. It showed me that life in a community really works, and that there's no way to embark on a journey of self-discovery without allowing yourself to learn from living together in a community! That's where love comes from ❤️
As for the social media activities, I was very well guided by the team; everyone contributed, and I had no obstacles to proposing my own content ideas, in addition to working with very flexible hours as well!

This is an experience that everyone should have at least once in their life.
The School of Nature is a place that really gives us hope for the future of humanity. The exchanges are very rich and the learning is immense.
Come open to the new and be surprised, you will gain A LOT! And feel that all your work is also very well received, making you feel part of the community.
