Ferme du bout du monde Arlon

By volunteering with us, you will:
Experience sustainable living first-hand – Our farm is designed around permaculture principles, low-tech solutions, and regenerative agriculture.
Learn valuable skills – Whether it's organic gardening, natural building, food preservation, or alternative energy, you’ll gain practical knowledge that you can take with you anywhere.
Be part of a vibrant, purpose-driven community – We believe in shared governance, cooperation, and mutual learning. Volunteers are an integral part of our daily life and decision-making processes.
Enjoy a peaceful yet inspiring environment – Surrounded by wild landscapes, the farm is a space for reflection, creativity, and meaningful connections with people from diverse backgrounds.

While each of us has a unique background, we all share a deep commitment to sustainability, education, and creating a welcoming, collaborative space for volunteers.
At Ferme du Bout du Monde, volunteers are not just workers—they are valued members of our community. We ensure that everyone is treated with respect, kindness, and inclusivity. Here’s what you can expect:
Clear guidance & meaningful tasks – We take time to explain the activities, ensuring that you feel comfortable and empowered in your role.
A spirit of exchange – You will learn from us, and we are always eager to learn from you. We encourage discussions, shared meals, and cultural exchanges.
Balanced work & free time – While we work hard on the farm, we also make space for play and rest.

My time at fdbdm was amazing. It is a very quiet place, you have freedom to manage your time and to complete the indicated tasks. Katy has a very beautiful family and the house fills with joy with the laughter of Noah and Luna. The landscapes are very beautiful and you also have good moments together with the other volunteers. Thank you!

My time at the project was wonderful! Work hours were flexible, and communication about our chores was very clear: I knew precisely what I had to do every day. the project is not the most touristy town you could visit, but it is easy to get from there to Luxembourg, Maastricht, and Bruxelles if you would like to travel. I would highly recommend going here if you want to learn about gardening, sustainability, and permaculture, and in general, just have a good, chill time :)

This was my first Worldpackers experience, and I really enjoyed it! I learned a lot, stepped out of my comfort zone, and enjoyed the varied tasks. Katy and her family were lovely and welcoming. I enjoyed spending time with the kids and other volunteers! A few things to keep in mind: I knew I was coming to a farm, but I didn't expect insects and spiders in my bedroom. The dogs are also very affectionate and often around. I was looking forward to the permaculture course, but unfortunately, it wasn't available during my stay. Overall, it was a lovely experience I'm grateful for! 🤍

What can I say! Katy and her family were so wonderful from start to finish. The hospitality was great and I had such a lovely time at the farm. We ate lovely home cooked meals every evening, and spent the day doing different tasks around the farm such as planting garlic, painting, caring for the sheep, cutting weeds etc. The working hours were very flexible and we got to have lovely lie ins every day if we wanted! There are lots of lovely pets around like their two big dogs, who are very friendly! I would highly recommend, and if you can stay for a good few weeks, 2 wasn't enough! x

I had the most wonderful experience at this farm. Katy and her family were so welcoming and the volunteers that she chose were such a wonderful dynamic. Tasks were very clear and volunteers were treated with trust and respect to complete them as needed. We learned so much about taking care of animals and permaculture methods in the garden (like no-dig). Katy is so very intelligent and shared her knowledge when she could, which was just fascinating. In our free time we could explore the nearby town and Luxembourg is very close by. I loved my experience so much and hope to return someday!!
