My name is Pablo, I am the founder of Hostel Achalay and a traveler at heart. I have more than 20 years in the hostel world and I believe in doing things with heart, honesty and good energy. Our team is a mix of locals and volunteers from different parts of the world: friendly, respectful people with many stories to share.
To volunteers at Achalay we treat you as peers. We value your time, your ideas and your unique way of being. You will have clear tasks, free time to explore and weekly meetings to share ideas and build together. We care about the experience you take away, not only the help you provide. This is a place to feel part of.

My first volunteering experience, I carry this experience and these memories in my heart. I met travelers from different countries, practiced languages, tasted foods from different cultures, and enjoyed managing the hostel Achalay's social media.
Pablo, Flor, and Seba welcomed me in a very lovely way; the meals were always varied, and the agreed schedules were kept.
I would choose them many more times.

With total sincerity, spending two months at the hostel was the best volunteer experience I've had in my life so far. The hostel is truly family; you feel at home, and a relationship based entirely on trust and tranquility is formed, which is priceless.

My experience at the hostel was amazing! Here I felt at home, I received tips to enjoy the best of Bariloche and I met many good people! Pablo, Flor and Sebas are great hosts and always strive for the best for the volunteers. You will gain a family with Blas, Emma, Jorge and the little dog Lila. I would repeat the experience several times! Thank you very much for everything :) the hostel is family
