Hostel Gentileza
We are in the best location in Chapada; everything is within walking distance from here. From going to yoga in the square in the morning, to shopping, watching the sunset, or having fun at night. Additionally, the hostel is small and intimate, perfect for exchanging experiences, making friends and learning.
We are a family and value non-violent communication, teamwork, kindness, and creativity. Volunteers are an essential part of the team because they bring fresh perspectives and ideas.

Volunteer work is very relaxed, hours respected, and an excellent location. Keyt and Gil are always ready to help in any eventuality, even when they’re not at the hostel. I highly recommend anyone who wants to experience Chapada dos Veadeiros; it’s well worth staying at the Gentileza Hostel, both as a guest or a volunteer. Beautiful life at the Gentileza Hostel ❤️🫶🏻

Carrying out my first experience as a volunteer was something transformative. I truly understood, through the hostel, through the hosts, the meaning of this word. I was very eager to get to know this destination, and they did their best to make my experience the best possible. I had difficulty due to climate adaptations and, unfortunately, I could not meet the total 20 days and ended up staying only 7; I recognize my limitation and they really understood that for health reasons I would not be able to stay the whole period. I met amazing people during that period.

I was very well received by Gili and all the other volunteers at Hostel Gentileza; it’s a harmonious environment with a lot of positive energy and integration. The schedules are flexible and there is plenty of time to explore the region and visit the waterfalls. It is a place I would definitely return to.

My experience at Gentileza was wonderful! Gi and Keyt are great hosts. The hostel is super well located, the tasks are tranquil, organized and super well divided. Chapada surprised me and both she and the hostel left a little piece of my heart. Gentileza provided me with such genuine connections that it was hard to leave. I hope to return soon.
