Hotel Wildrose

if you are interested in skiing, snowboarding, meeting people , improving your language skills (English and German) and general life in the mountains. This might be the place for you.

We are a family run hotel and very new to the industry. Last year we had volunteers for the winter season who we are still in contact with. We all worked together to get the jobs required finished so we could ski in the afternoon.

I had an awesome time at the hotel. Alan and Mairead were really welcoming and friendly. The work load is very fair and the hosts are very helpful with training. The hotel is an amazing place in the Alps with lots of great opportunities for hiking and swimming in the summer. I'd highly recommend volunteering at the hotel and would love to come back and experience the winter season. Thanks heaps for having me Alan and Mairead.

I stayed at the hotel for the month of August and a bit of September and absolutely loved it. It is located right in front of a National Park, so a walk in any and every direction out the front door is absolutely beautiful. There are so many hikes and bike rides, as well as beautiful glacial lakes just a 30 minute walk away. Alan and Mairead are incredible hosts, making you feel like you're a part of their family. They really take care of you and help you navigate living here very well. I recommend this to anyone who loves being outdoors and independent. I wish I could come back for the winter!

The hotel and the surroundings are just stunning. If you are looking for a peaceful stay, I would definitely recommend. During the summer, there aren't that many people around though, so I wouldn't really recommend staying for a long time if you aren't used to being alone. But if you do try it, it will teach you so much about yourself. There isn't that much work to do during the summer, so you have a lot of free time. Alan, Mairead, Alara and Marbel are great hosts, they will make your stay that much better.

My time at the hotel was filled with skiing, exploring the mountains and working. Meeting the other volunteers throughout the experience was one of my favorite parts. Tasks include making up rooms, working breakfast and dinner, helping with check-in, etc. There was a good balance between time working and time to explore/ski during the season. The schedule being written out in advance was especially helpful. Thank you for everything Mairead, Alan, Alara and Marble <3

Mairead and Alan are super welcoming and fun hosts. They've also got a dog called Marble, who's a very good boy most of the time (I already miss him btw). The tasks are pretty much exactly as described, and the hours are fair. Me and the other volunteers had loads of free time to ski, explore the area, and just chill watching TV or movies in the snug—tho we never watched Madagascar 😞. I had such a good time hanging out with everyone and listening to Mairead and Alan's stories. I'd definitely recommend this place to anyone who loves dogs, wants to have a great time and explore the mountains.
