Huaka Guesthouse

🌵 Huaka is much more than a place to sleep. It’s a home for travelers, and we want those who come to collaborate with us to feel part of the place from day one.

We are Vale and Max, and we are behind Huaka. We like to travel, meet people from different places and share experiences. We know what it means to be far from home and arrive at a new place, which is why we want our volunteers to feel comfortable, respected and well received.

We believe in exchanges where both sides win: we receive help and new ideas, and those who come to Huaka have the opportunity to get to know Cafayate, share with other travelers and live a different experience.

🤝 How do we treat our volunteers?

We like to work with clear and direct communication. Before starting, we explain the tasks, schedules and what we expect from the exchange, and we are open to listening to proposals and ideas.

We do not expect our volunteers to be hostel employees. They are part of our team during their stay, and we want there to be respect, trust and a good atmosphere.

We also understand that every traveler has their own personality, their own timings and their own way of doing things. That’s why we look for responsible and committed people, but we also offer a relaxed environment where they can enjoy their free time and get to know Cafayate.

For us the fundamentals are respect for guests, the care of the house, responsibility and good communication.
