I got to spend an incredible summer , with all it's authenticity of rural living in a community. The people were just like a family, the exchange of cultures from all around the world was unique and hard to put in words. Connectivity to nature was like a soul-vacation, I personally grew by living in the community.
The only bummer was I didn't feel like a part of the team in the stables, only caused by one guy who had no interest in me as a person. Unfortunately he was in charge of delegating the volunteer work. He ignored me despite I was putting in effort with my Spanish.

If you're lucky to get approved to volunteer in La Donaira you probably gonna have an amazing time, just like me. There I could make a lot of friends, enjoy the amazing landscape and delicious food provided. Maria do everything she can to make all the team together as a family and making sure that everyone is having a amazing time. I highly recommend if you're looking for a comfortable, fun and beautiful place to be in, and also learn a lot working in the farm, kitchen or stables.
