I am an engineer and administrator of companies and I decided to abdicate all activities in São Paulo (where I lived in recent years) to enjoy with my family the quality of life on the island... I have been in the guest-house hospitality business since 1997, with a harmonious environment and tranquil tasks. It was totally worth it, this experience; the hostel is a peaceful, tranquil, and harmonious environment. Regarding my stay as a volunteer, I had no issues; everything went normally as expected, and what was agreed upon was delivered by both sides. Amauri is an excellent host, with notable care to ensure a good experience for the people at the hostel (including the volunteers). I’m happy to have discovered some beautiful places in Ilhabela thanks to this exchange. Grateful for everything that made this possible ✨

Amauri and Janaína welcomed me very well, I felt at home! It was my first volunteering experience, and being at the La Gloria House was an incredible experience! A warm, welcoming environment, with well-defined activities, and the volunteers who were there were also very friendly, supportive and collaborative in the activities. It was a wonderful experience and I highly recommend the place!
