Lookout Lisbon! Hostel

Hi! We are a couple who run an awesome hostel in the centre of Lisbon.

Our hostel is very small, cosy and familiar so you`ll be able to meet people from all over the world. We are located in Bairro Alto, one of historical Lisbon`s neighbourhood, and the most bohemian neighbourhood.

You'll be a part of a small, young team of day staff as well as another night volunteer, so you'll work closely with everyone. The hostel is run by me ( Cláudia ) and Fábio, my partner.

Foi uma sorte sem tamanho , um presente ter tido a experiência de voluntariado no Lookout Lisbon .
Além do Hostel ser maravilhoso, os proprietários são pessoas incríveis e trabalham junto com a equipe para fazer o show acontecer .
Um hostel onde você se sente em casa e pode conectar com pessoas do mundo todo . Amei a experiência e recomendo !

Loved working at Lookout Lisbon. The hostel is cozy and chill, it's like a home away from home. It's close to the center, and it's perfect for going out and meeting travelers from around the world.
The work can be quite physical but is generally easy to learn. The shifts are fairly distributed so you still have time to discover Lisbon and the rest of the country.
Claudia and Fabio are amazing hosts, really nice and welcoming, and are always available when you need help. The rest of the team (volunteers and employees) is great to work with, and we all became good friends. Muito obrigada :)

Great team to work with - everyone was really welcoming and friendly and got along well. The hostel is really cosy and comfortable and you get to meet great people from all over the world. The shifts can be hard work but it's enjoyable, varied and fair - you get a chance to do everything and take on responsibility which makes it very rewarding.
I had a great time staying with Lookout - thank you Cláudia and Fábio for being good hosts and creating such a great space for travellers to come together.

Working at Lookout Lisbon was the experience of a lifetime. The hostel is in the heart of the city in an ideal location for going out. The hostel is relatively small in a beautiful old building; it's not necessarily a party hostel, if that's what you're looking for. There's a lovely living room where everybody gathers, and it's a great place to meet other travelers. The hostel has a homey feel, which I really enjoyed! I got along great with Fabio and Claudia, as they are wonderful people who became friends of mine throughout the stay. The other volunteers were awesome as well :)

This was my first experience, it was really nice. The hostel is small and I think because of that you can create a good community with the other volunteers and guests ! I made a bunch of friends there. The view from the hostel is really nice as well. The work is quite hard over all in the morning but you always can ask Fabio (the owner) to switch shifts to evening (when the work is less heavy) and he always will be willing to do it. I learned a lot from this job actually how to do check ins and outs , clean. make coffee (yeah I didn't know how to do it before lol). Hence I feel really greatful
