hot springs jungle

Coexisting with the authentic life in the jungle,
It is very calm here with only wonderful nature around.
There are many
opportunities to connect with the forest, explore the surroundings (such as the river or the waterfall that is a 40-minute walk away) and relax in the pool.

Hello! I was born and I live in the jungle with basic things; it's a beautiful and authentic place, with plenty of nature, many giant butterflies, beautiful waterfalls, hot springs, a lot of nature, the cabin is very simple with a shared bathroom, located in Manu, Madre de Dios, Manu, to enter this palace you start from Cusco to Manu.
I run a tourism project; I am also rescuing and planting trees of all kinds of fruits, hardwood plants, I am opening trails with a machete in the middle of the forest to be able to plant and have our food secured in the future.

Three meals are provided, included in the payment. Overall I ate very well, but many times I had to cook, so it's important to know that and that you like it (that's my case). The place is beautiful but it is very isolated and there is only internet and electricity at Jhohan's house. I was lucky to have a female volunteer companion; otherwise I don't know if I would have had such a good time. In my free time, Jhohan took us tubing, hiking, and to his chacra. As a woman, I would say that at times I didn't feel very comfortable because of the culture of the inhabitants of Shintuya; nevertheless I appreciate the experience.

The experience was good, the place was incredible, surrounded by nature and animals. I had the opportunity to share the volunteering experience with another volunteer; this was good because the place is far away, quite isolated and with no connectivity. Jhoahan took us to activities such as fishing, seeing parrots, and walking in the forest. Definitely a place to disconnect and be in touch with nature.

My stay was very pleasant and gave me a new perspective on nature.
Jhohan and his family were very kind to me and hospitable; I am grateful that he always answered my questions, told me the history of the place, and let me try activities I had never done before, such as fishing.
The long journey was worth it to reach the beautiful Shintuya 💚🌳🌴

We had a lot of fun at Shintuya the farm. The work was fair and always varied. the farm are very beautiful and we had many opportunities to enjoy then. Johan took us on lots of adventures when we were not working. We saw lots of animals, tried new fruits and got to go fishing a couple of times. Overall a very good experience and I would love to go back some day!

Is the best place for whoever wants an authentic experience with local people in the amazon forest.
The lodges are basic but have all the things you need for your stay. In the property there is a super nice hotspring and near by they are waterfalls. My host Jhohan was always respectful, welcoming, had understanding, communicative and took the time to show me beautiful places near by. His family as well in the next village are super friendly and I had a super experience meeting and interacting with local people.
