Mayan Monkey Cancun is set in the heart of the hotel zone, overlooking the lagoon and right across the street from an unbelievably blue-water beach and steps away from the most popular restaurants and bars. The property features fantastic common areas surrounded by nature and spaces to relax, work, party, and watch the best sunsets in town.
Mayan Monkey‘s concept is centered around people, socializing, sharing, and exchanging. This principle is embedded in every aspect of the experience and it all begins with our staff. Everyone at our hostel is treated with respect and is welcomed as a friend. We think of volunteers as an opportunity to exchange experiences and bring diversity, creativity, and fun to our community. If you work the morning shift you gotta pack some ear plugs, because your dorm is right next to the common area and music is blasted until midnight, so you only get like 6 hours of sleep. But the location is top notch there is nothing you cannot do. So if you want to party or sleep at the beach every day, than I recommend you going here.

Estuve como profe de yoga y tambien ayude en el desayuno. Cualquier turno de trabajo es facil de llevar. El cuarto, mixto, tenía 2 duchas y 2 baños. Todos los dias la musica suena hasta las 12pm aveces se arma el ambiente de fiesta pero nunca excede las 12pm (puedes pedir tapones en recepcion) Si te interesa el intercambio cultural este voluntariado es perfecto, conoci personas de los 6 continentes y mejore mi ingles. Hubieron desafíos con el A/C pero aprecio el esfuerzo del personal para ayudarnos con todo lo que tuvieron a su alcance. Recomendado! Tendras la playa a un paso de ti ♡

Everything was perfect the people the staff the adventures, everything was perfect about the job, the only thing bad was the food, it was not to good, me and my co workers asked for something different but they didn’t do anything different, everything was amazing but no if we’re talking about food and also when I just applied I saw like different activities like a free drinks and free tours and I just asked for them, and they say no, so idk why they put that if they don’t gonna give us that but after all that about tours and drinks and the food everything was like a dream, thank u Mayan monke
