Our rooftop location is one of the best in Arequipa. We have a chocolate factory and a coffee roastery. We can share with you our knowledge of sustainable practices and the world of Peruvian cocoa and coffee.
Volunteers have the freedom to choose how they want to contribute and express what they know. This experience would only ask for four or five days per week and would include room, food, drinks and the opportunity to learn about coffee, chocolate and healthy products.

My experience at the center was the best volunteer experience I have had, Sauro is an incredible host, a humble person focused on transforming the world into a better place for everyone, from the food and the experience they offer to valuing who is at the forefront, i.e., the farmers who produce the foods served in his café/chocolatería. In addition, Sauro gave me a laptop to be able to do my work as a software developer as well as recommending my service to all his friends in Arequipa. Highly recommended, he fulfilled everything agreed and went much beyond. Thank you, Sauro!

This was my first world packers experience. I felt very welcomed by Sauro. At the beginning I felt the team was not as comfortable with me since I did not speak Spanish but using a translation app and showing them the work I was doing helped create a bond. Sauro is very passionate about organic sustainability processes in food and how to use his business to support his local town. I created photos and videos for social media, at times I did feel that the work load was more then expected. All in all I enjoyed my one week stay and being part of the team.

During my stay at the cafeteria the Center had a wonderful time. Sauro, Elmer, and all the coworkers were very kind. Although I felt a bit lost at first, they helped me and gave me the freedom to do the tasks I can complete well. I made many friends at the cafeteria and in my hostel (a hostel very close to the cafeteria), and Arequipa is a beautiful city. Overall I felt at home and I can recommend the experience to people who enjoy socializing and improving their Spanish.

My experience was very positive. Sauro is a very kind, patient person and always willing to help. From the first day, he made me feel welcome. It shows he has a lot of knowledge and he is passionate about sharing it, which made every conversation an opportunity to learn something new.
I also loved learning more about chocolate. Additionally, the place is beautiful and has a really incredible view. I would definitely recommend this volunteering opportunity to anyone who wants to learn and connect with the local culture.

A short but very pleasant experience. Working with Sauro and the team is very relaxed, with no pressure and good teamwork.
I learned more about cocoa or the preparation of dishes and drinks. The place is very beautiful, with a spectacular view that makes it a pleasure to work there!
