NewPa Association

You have the chance of learning about an alternative education system, one that involves connecting the youth to nature and enjoying the outdoors. Additionally, you would also have the opportunity to learn about sustainable practices and have deep conversations about important topics.

You will be able to enjoy spending time with Spanish kids and hence definitely practicing your Spanish comprehension for sure, although conversations with them need to be in English constantly as we work in English Immersion with them. Our local educators are also bilingual and this would give you the chance to have conversations in Spanish during breaks and learn more about the local culture.

On top of our crew from various nationalities, we have a team of volunteers that come from everywhere so the cultural exchange and good fun is granted!!

We have got surf boards and body boards that can be borrowed for enjoying even more the time at the beach if you can put up with chilly water ;D

The volunteering experience is an open door to work with us. After, volunteers are entitled to apply for a job position (European passports or Working Visa holders) to join our Camps and/or Workshops.

CAMP MAKERS & CAMP CLOSERS: Learn practical building and packing skills related to camp ;D

We don’t want to bore you with any more details, feel free to ask any questions you may come across by email or through any of our social media. LOOKING FORWARD TO MEETING YOU!

We are, an educational alternative focused on transmitting the importance of values and environmental awareness. We get to do this through experiences of linguistic immersion in different stunning locations in Cantabria (Spain).

We are a small but hard working group of people with a common goal that strongly believe in the need for a change. We are very excited to have more people joining the team so, if you fit in the description, be ready to come to Spain!

All our activities are based on education in nature. Our international team of monitors/educators together with our volunteers help our project come to life and together we continue educating for a better world.

We have flexible dates that include accommodation and 5 meals/day (mains plus 2 snacks/day) in exchange for voluntary help on the project.

School year:
During camp days, we will all be accommodated in the location of the camps with children. These locations would be mainly youth hostels where you would be sharing rooms with bunk beds with other staff. All meals are provided (including snacks)

During your off days (out of camp), you would stay in a very welcoming co-living space in a beautiful nature rich area, with connections to Santander, in the North of Spain. As you would be staying at the house of a member of the team, you might need to sometimes cook for yourselves as the host is not always guaranteed to be there. This will be communicated by the host with sufficient time and also the resources needed to cook for yourselves will be provided.

Summer:
During the summer we set up a beautiful sustainable camp in tents in the middle of nature for the months of June - July and August. There we use dry toilets and fresh camp showers! =D

Types of meals may include vegetarian and vegan profiles.

Volounteering at the camping was a very interesting and formative experience. Moni, Bruno and all the people i met that were organizing this project are amazing, full of life, joy and creativity. Since the majority of the people were speaking in spanish it had been a real "spanish immersion" for me and i really liked it. The camp accomodation was VERY essential but well structured, the balance work/free time has been ok . Though a thing i can say is that the location was a little off and in the whole region it rains A LOT/always cloudy so you need to be prepared if you want to enjoy your free time:)

Overall, the experience was very enjoyable; we reached the point of dismantling the camp, so the work was demanding and physical, but even so Moni was very attentive to the physical pains we might have because of it. The site was beautiful and they have a magical rest area. At all times we felt very warmly welcomed by the other volunteers and by Moni and Bruno :)

This experience has been a real learning experience. We arrived when there were no kids left and we had to clean up and dismantle the camp. We met very friendly volunteers with whom living together was very pleasant. Bruno, Moni and their whole family made us feel at home. We left very happy with the experience we lived 💕

Grateful to everyone, especially Bruno, a good person and supervisor. They made my arrival easier, and although I stayed only a few days because I injured my wrist, I recommend the collaboration. During meals I had to translate what my teammate Nathan said, and it helped me improve my English and feel more confident with the language.
