We provide a unique opportunity to really integrate into a small community, and experience life in a small Costa Rican beach/surf town. We have a beautiful hotel with a bar and restaurant that is the social hub of the town. We offer comfortable accommodation, delicious meals, and access to great surf!
Our team is young and we work hard. We expect our volunteers to bring some hustle! We are a close team and we value open, direct communication with one another. The hotel experience could not have been better; it was my first volunteer placement and I felt very comfortable from the first day, the meals were very varied and delicious. Work schedules were respected and even when I needed to make changes to shifts they were super flexible and understanding. The hotel is a family; I would really come back, I carry the best memories and, most importantly, friends❤️. I highly recommend it if you want Playa grande to feel like a second home. The town itself is very quiet; there’s not much to do but you manage anyway. 100% recommended.

I am super happy I went volunteering for the hotel in Playa Grande!
The conditions are as described, and the staff is at the same time professional and laid back. A little side note is that the quantity of food sometimes was not enough for me (I am a sporty person, and I eat a lot).
I knew the beach lifestyle is slow, but knowing and experimenting are two different things. I was very bored at first and it took me a few weeks to adapt to the local rhythm, but once I did, I started really enjoying it, and now I am glad to say I have a few new habits that I want to introduce in my "normal" life.

The hotel for me was an incredible experience, from the moment you arrive they make you feel at home and that was the loveliest thing, you literally live just a five-minute walk from the beach and you have plenty of time to enjoy and get to know the area, the rooms are very comfortable, the food is delicious and the work time and the breaks are exactly as described in the description, for me the best part of this experience were the people I met there, I had a lot of fun and I totally recommend it!!

The hotel was my first volunteering experience and it couldn't have been better. The work meets what was established, the rooms and the bathroom are perfect, the volunteers with whom I shared were a ten and the people who work in the hotel as well, all willing to make you feel at home and help you with whatever it is. If you're in doubt about applying to this volunteering, do it! It was perfect, the hotel will stay with me forever, thanks. One negative thing I can say is that in the free time Playa Grande is very small and perhaps becomes boring with time; if you work remotely you have time to do it.

My experience at the hotel was really good. The team is incredibly supportive, and even though the work can sometimes feel a little demanding, they're always there to help and make sure everything runs smoothly. The working hours are definitely worth it. The food provided is amazing, and both the rooms and bathroom are in good conditions. One thing to keep in mind is that playa grande is a bit remote, so there isn't a lot to do besides enjoying the beach. Overall, I'd rate this experience 10/10! The facilites, the people, the food and the beach all exceeding my expectations! Hope to be back soon!
