I really enjoyed the five weeks I volunteered in Genova. The position is great to explore the city or the region in general. Ostello Bello is very nice too! You have enough space, always people around and everything you need is provided. The work is easy as well. Depending on how much is going on in the hostel you have more or less things to do. Sometimes you were expected to do tasks for the first without someone really explaining it to you. I feel like the communication could be a bit better here but everyone was kind and helped you if you needed something.
I will really miss Genova!

Unfortunately my experience with the Ostello wasn't the best.I wasn't feeling welcome from the start and the tasks where not fully explained.After my first mistake there they wanted to end our collaboration and they didn't let me fully explain the situation.I feel like they should seriously work on their managment and communication because they expect from volunteers to cover heavy shifts and do tasks that someone else would be payed and covered by an insurance to do.With that beign said the stuff members were okay but sometimes they wouldn't talk to me,the working hours were respected.

I absoltely loved my stay at Ostello Bello Genova and am very glad my friend recommended them to me! They were super friendly and laid-back and I could easily connect with the staff and the other volunteers as well. I spent a total of two weeks there but needed to go home to take an exam and come back and they were flexible and helpful to accommodate my special request.
I’m very grateful to have spent my first Worldpackers experience with them and can’t recommend them enough!:)

It was such a fun experience staying at the hostel, the staff are incredibly kind and welcoming, and with the work focusing on the evening activities, you get to meet the wonderful guests as well!! The city is beautiful and is surrounded with so many beautiful smaller cities, so you'll never be bored. I really recommend the whole experience!!

I loved my stay here, the hostel is incredible with so many perks and benefits for guests as well as volunteers, and the staff were all super friendly and welcoming, and were always so happy to help with anything. The work was pretty simple, it's a very social position and you get to meet loads of other travellers. The shift times were always respected.
