Why should a volunteer choose our place?

Because this is more than a volunteer experience ; it is an opportunity to slow down, connect with local people and experience everyday life in the Peruvian Andes.

We are a small, locally run project in Huancayo, so volunteers are not just another number. We offer a personal, welcoming and relaxed experience where cultural exchange goes both ways: you share your skills, ideas and culture with us, and we share our home, traditions, food and knowledge of the Mantaro Valley with you.

You will have the opportunity to support English learning in a rural school and also practice Spanish in a fun, natural way. Our Spanish sessions are not traditional classroom lessons. Your host will spend about an hour a day helping you develop practical, conversational Spanish through everyday situations, activities, games and real-life conversations , so you can actually use Spanish while living in Peru.

Outside of volunteering, you can discover local communities, markets, food, crafts, landscapes and Andean traditions, experiencing a side of Peru beyond the usual tourist route.

We are looking for people who are curious, responsible, positive and open-minded, travelers who want to contribute, learn, laugh, connect and enjoy the experience without needing to “save the world.”

We are a small, family-run team with years of experience welcoming travelers and volunteers from different parts of the world.

We believe that a good volunteer experience should feel like a genuine cultural exchange. We treat our volunteers with respect, kindness and warmth, and we make an effort to get to know each person who comes to stay with us.

Because our project is intentionally small, we can offer personal guidance and support throughout your stay. We will help you understand the local culture, get around Huancayo, feel comfortable in your new surroundings and make the most of your time here.

At the same time, we value independence. We love sharing meals, conversations, local experiences and laughs with our volunteers, but we also want you to have your own time and space to explore, rest or simply enjoy your trip.
