Travelers will benefit from this experience with us by getting to know amazing areas and projects in this beautiful country and meet many local personalities to practice their Spanish. We also offer Spanish language courses for beginners to advanced.
We are a young organization specialized in environmental topics in conservation, educational projects and sustainable travel itineraries in Costa Rica. We are looking for a volunteer ready to helping us to build up more visibility online and support our social network activities You will be an important part of the team and get to know cool destinations and our projects. We also seek support for our newly installed environmental education KidsClub on the South Caribbean of Costa Rica which is in need of funding and welcomes creative open-minded people with experience in working with children. With us you can experience the diversity of the Costa Rican communities as an integrated member. Working side by side with our team and other international volunteers will be an amazing and memorable experience for everyone!

Estuve en la casa 2 meses.
Pros: me gustó el proyecto. Sobre todo la limpieza de playa y participar en los colegios.
He conocido a mucha gente y he compartido momentos inolvidables.
Contras: la organización no es su fuerte.
Los managers pueden almorzar y entrar en la cocina pero yo no estaba autorizada.
Incomodidad al escuchar discusiones de pareja.
Eché de menos mejor trato de los managers, sobre todo pq convivía con ellos.
Había pulgas en la habitación y tuve erupciones graves en la piel.
La comida solo hidratos. No proteína para vegetarianos.
Staff sobrecargado.
Gracias x la experiencia!

It was such a good experience to stay and learn so much in this paradise
The team is lovely and it’s calm, in the middle of the jungle, Puerto Viejo is a nice place to stay
I’ve worked in the locals schools and did amazing workshops for the kids about environmental consciousness
I really liked working in team and be free about the content/ how to run a workshop and be creative

We loved our stay at Planet conservation, a fun place with lots going on, staying a long time is a real benefit so you can enjoy the freedom of taking ownership of projects your working on and getting involved in the community. It takes a week to settle in and find your role but once you are settled you will feel part of the casa caribe family.

CasaCaribe, un espacio hermoso para aprender diversas tareas, compartir con personas muy interesantes e involucrarse en proyectos increíbles. Beate y Federico están todo el día haciendo de ese lugar más lindo. Al principio puede ser un poco difícil entender tus tareas, pero con el pasar de los días te acomodas como en tu casa. Si tienen dudas, pregunten!!Siempre habrá una respuesta.

Good experience overall. The hostel is stunning and the food is so good. Good environment with the managers and cool vibes with the other volunteers. Pretty far from everything tho (beach and supermarket are like 15 minutes walk)
