QUO Milano

From amazing amenities to a great location, QUO Milano is one of the most popular hostels in Milan! The unique bar atmosphere combined with that home feeling make QUO a fair place to spend a couple of weeks volunteering, meeting people from all over the world and exchanging experiences.

Volunteers work in different positions and tasks which makes the experience even more plural and is a great opportunity to develop the sense of responsibility! And talking about plural... One of the best things about QUO is our daily activities like: Karaoke Night, Trivia Night, Stand Up Comedy, live music and more!

Our kitchen is big and fully equipped for everyone to cook! As our guests, the volunteers can have the free breakfast everyday. Coffee, tea, milk, biscuits, cereal, toasts and fruits is always on the house! We also have a selection of free food available: pasta, rice, eggs, bread and more.

We are known by our always-ready-to-help staff! And we wanna keep that way connecting to the guests and learning every day a little more! People with this vibe of connecting and sharing experiences are more than welcome in our home.

We care a lot about our volunteers! Our amenities are great, the volunteers room was recently upgraded and we are always trying to improve to make their experience as good as possible! We want people to have a great experience with us.

My experience at the hostel is one I'll never forget. Over these past few months, I developed a special bond with my coworkers, the people and friends I met along the way, and the city of Milan itself. It's the kind of experience where you'll go through a little bit of everything. I'm leaving with unforgettable memories, incredible experiences, and friendships that will last a lifetime.

My days at the hostel - and in "our studio" - were far more special than I imagined. Everyone contributed to making this experience so unique, welcoming and unforgettable. Thanks to the Morning Buddy and to my dear colleague C. (as well as everyone who was always willing to help), I lived incredible moments and formed friendships that I will carry with me for life. It was a period of growth, sincere exchanges, laughter and memories that will stay forever in my heart. THANKS Family (Antonio, Flá, Juana, Kate & Santiago) and Vic for making Milan my 2nd home! Once the hostel family, always the hostel family 🤍💚🧡

Volunteering at the hostel allowed me to meet some amazing people, both from Milan and from all over the world. Work hours are respected, the accommodation is great, and food is provided! There's a good mix of shifts available, including morning shifts helping with the hostel breakfast, afternoon/evening shifts helping at reception with check-ins, and later shifts at the bar as a bar back. As long as you're social and have initiative, you'll be absolutely fine. I'm really grateful for my time here and will miss the people I met here a lot 🫶🏻

I'm volunteering with three guys in a studio they have for us, and being the only girl there makes it very uncomfortable. Victoria send schedule at 1 am morning Sunday so making plan for also enjoying the city is thought, and honestly, this feels more like a full-time job than volunteering.

I don't recommend this volunteering experience. I worked long, stressful morning shifts at reception with minimal breaks and basic meals. Despite my dedication, I had no opportunity to switch tasks or communicate effectively with the coordinator, Victoria, who often ignored messages and didn't allow open dialogue. The biggest issue was the dirty, neglected fridge in the volunteers' apartment, which no one took responsibility for cleaning. I was asked to leave early due to this issue, even though I tried to resolve it.
