Do you want to spend Summer surfing on the beautiful West Coast? Then come and join our hostel team! In exchange for 20 hours of work a week you get free staff accommodation, surfboard and wetsuit hire, surf lessons, BBQ use, and lots of fun!

Rougey Lodge is a easygoing surf lodge on the West Coast of Ireland. The staff team is a great mix of Irish and backpackers from around the world, who all love to surf, hang out, and explore the beautiful coastline where we live! Many of us have worked in other countries and other hostels so we know what it takes to run a fun one, while we love the enthusiasm and friendliness of team members who are volunteering for the first time!

I loved my time at Rougey! I was lucky enough to join a team of awesome people who were always down for a surf, explore, or a night out! I had such a good time and the people really made the experience the best.
This was my first time volunteering and while it was a good experience, there were times when I felt if we all communicated a bit more the daily tasks would have gone a bit smoother. There was a bit of confusion as to the tasks and expectations but we got it sorted out in the end!
Overall the work was easy and fair! Rougey Lodge was super chill and the people were awesome :)

My experience at Rougey was great! The manager Monia is very fair with the tasks and the place is beautiful, 5 minutes walk to the nearest beach. The city is very pretty and the people are nice, had a great time and would definitely do it again!

I had a great time working at Rougey Lodge! The workload is very fair and varies (housekeeping, breakfast or reception shift). The hostel itself has a nice vibe and is located close to the beach and a beautiful cliff walk! You get in touch with a lot of travelers from all over the world but also with locals and guests from Dublin, who are here for the weekend. Everyone was very friendly and open and I really enjoyed my stay.

The best experience and the best time in Ireland, Monia and Diego are incredible, they are the best. They care you and guide you during your stay, also Monia is a great manager who loves welcoming you and you will love her, she is really cool. The job is easy and pretty chill and also enjoy Bundoran, it is a magical place. Cheers
