Semi di Luce Comunity

Here you live in nature and as part of a community 🌼
Wake up in wild Sardinia, work in the garden 🌱, learn skills like natural building 🛠️, cooking with local ingredients 🥗, growing food 🌾, and speaking new languages.
Create with others 🎨, share ideas 💡, and be part of a joyful, purpose-driven project 💫
Bring your light and we’ll make it shine brighter together 🌟

Here, life flows with the sun, the seasons , and the laughter of barefoot kids playing in the garden 🙌🏻

What to expect:
• A lively garden (yes, weeds included 😄)
• Hands-on work in the soil and around the land
• Shared meals, meaningful conversations, and starlit evenings
• A place where children, adults, and nature grow together
• Space to reconnect with yourself, the earth, and others 🌍🩵

We’re not a perfect setup, but an evolving experiment in authenticity, creativity, and joy!
If that sparks something in you, we’re probably a good match ;)

We are a family living off-grid in the beautiful wild north of Sardinia. Our “team” is made of:

Johan, passionate about natural building and growing food; Gin, who loves creating community, playing guitar and singing, cooking from the garden, and dreaming big with her feet on the ground 🌱
And of course, our two wild and wonderful kids, always barefoot and full of stories 🐾

Right now, we are sharing this land with two other lovely families, creating a community where support, shared meals, and magic.✨

You will be treated like part of the family!
We care deeply about mutual respect, clear communication, and creating a space where people feel welcome, seen, and free to be themselves.🙌🏻

This is a place to connect, learn, and live something real and beautiful together!

My time spent on Sardinian was beautiful. Everyone is so welcoming and kind. I really enjoyed learning more about sustainability while living on the island. It was a very peaceful 3 weeks that I would definitely recommend.

Gin, Johan & the kids welcome volunteers into their life with open arms! This is a beautiful space to learn about sustainability, community & living a more mindful life. They play beautiful music & show you how to cook delicious vegan & vegetarian meals from the garden. The work is being a part of the community & helping with daily tasks & there is always a task to do in the garden, it’s beautiful! Along with other volunteers, Gin & Johan often host other friends & family, this brings lots of life, interesting conversations and interactions! The land is magical, lots of places to explore!

Three words can sum up my month long stay at the community: Ma Che Bella!!! However, I will share more… I would have stayed at the community for an entire year if my schedule allowed. It was not easy to leave the warm, inviting, rich, and vibrant land Gin, Johan, their friends, family, and super dogs are cultivating. Everyone had the patience to allow me to explore my interests and discover where I could grow, learn, and be useful. Sardinia is a magical place, no doubt, and it is made that much better by the love and care this wonderful group of people put into it. 🌎 ♥️ 🥬

Such a great volunteering experience! Gin and Yohan were super welcoming and made me feel at home right away.
I learned so many things gardening, construction, cooking, and even some Italian.
The atmosphere was really warm and friendly, and overall it was just an amazing experience. I’m very grateful and would totally recommend it!

This was my first time traveling and using Worldpackers and I took a leap of faith and I did it alone. Gin and Johan and their family/friends have given me an experience that I will never forget. From day one I was treated like family. I had so much fun learning the language and the culture. I also had an incredible time helping with their many projects around the house and always making time to play with their amazing children and dogs! I really liked how most mornings we would come together and talk about what's on our minds and how we are feeling. Thank you Gin and Johan :)
