Serenity Hobby Farm

We are 17min to Coolum beach, 25m to Noosa, surrounded by mountains, waterfalls, swimming holes & markets. We have 2.5 acres with fruit trees, veggies, animals. We are always planting food as well and love sharing ideas about living closer to nature & sustainable living.

We have people all year round so please reach out & we may have some dates for you! Unfortunately the app doesn’t have an alert 🔔 but we will be as quick as we can to reply-we use What’s app. for this reason so leave a number & your start & finish date in your message. 👌

We prefer a minimum of 2 weeks stay & intermediate English or above and to be fit & able for physical hobby farm jobs. Volunteers are provided with beautiful food but must cook themselves. We can cater to a couple or a single person in our guest bedroom.

The property is ‘modern style’ private home, quiet, relaxed, friendly, fun, with an interest in a healthy lifestyle. I am a PE teacher & Naturopath along with completing projects on the property. The hours are S-Th, 5 hrs with Fri & Sat free. Yes we can change some of the hours to suit.

For those seeking the special VISA application of 88 days, unfortunately we do not meet the VISA requirements.

We are a small 2.5 acre hobby farm & you will most likely be working independently We only have one room with a queen bed so single’s or couple is ok. We value independently capable people with lots of energy and positivity.
Food is provided and you cook your own meals. We are 5 min drive (20 min walk) from public transport which connects you to the region and in some instances we can connect you. We encourage you to look up farm life in Australia to familiarise yourself with typical jobs. Positions run on and off all year so we encourage you to reach out if this sounds like you! Remember to leave your telephone number in What’s app! 😃

I would recommend spending time with Alina and Bev. They were both very kind, and it was easy to have good conversations with them. The accommodation is very well maintained, and Alina goes grocery shopping every weekend, so everything is taken care of. The work is quite exhausting and not very varied. Most of the time, we were weeding in the sun. But overall, we had a nice time there.

We stayed with Alina and Bev for two weeks and had a good time. Alina is very busy with work currently, but took us to the Eumundi Market on the weekend, when she got time. Bev is also a lovely person. The work was very hard due to the high physical activity and the heat and they were strict with the hours you work, but your days off are flexible. It is a nice place in nature and just 15min by car to Coolum Beach (30min to Noosa). There is also a bus station 5min away by car and Bev or Alina can bring you there, but it is a 1h bus ride to Noosa, so keep that in mind. But that didn't bother us

Had a great time staying with Alina and Bev! Couldn't recommend them enough. Great to get to know locals in a rural part of the Sunshine Coast and work in a beautiful part of the world. Definitely missed getting to work outdoors since I left, and missed Bev and my chats about Scotland and Oz! If you get the chance, go NOW! Thank you to you both

The experience was not quite what I expected.. so here is a pro and cons list for my fellow volunteers Pros: - right in nature - modern property with single bedroom - animal care is very interesting -Bev( Alina's mom) is a very nice lady and it was great talking to her Cons: -pick up only from Yandina -in the middle of nowhere( Alina isn't there most of the time so you are basically stuck on the property) - very hard physical labor you have to do in the sun - grocery supply is not that great( you mostly get frozen stuff and veggies) - communication can be improved
