SkyHarvest

Join us Feb. 26 through March 4, 2023. Our beautiful and remote location in the Sonoran desert in Arizona is a place where our volunteers can have an intimate experience with nature, away from the busyness of modern life.
At the beautiful Diamond Mountain Retreat Center, SkyHarvest is restoring the fragile desert environment that has been damaged by humans over the last hundred-plus years. Using advanced, yet simple environmental techniques, our restoration projects are a model for the planet.
Although we are in a remote location we have excellent wifi, comfortable lodging, transportation provided from nearest airport (Tucson, Arizona), with meals provided during your one week volunteer session.
Come to learn about sustainable environmental restoration and meet people from around the world who share your passion for volunteer work that makes a difference to planetary health.

Our staff is dedicated to the environmentally sustainable desert restoration of damaged fragile ecosystems.
Volunteers will be treated as honored guests who are visiting to help us!

Wow, what a trip. The open plains cradled by mountains are breathtaking. The people and town nearby have a local charm. And the host is fantastic. Kat is an incredibly motivated, kind-hearted person. Her projects range from ecological to social so you'll be given the opportunity to make a real impact. I hope to visit Bowie again in the coming years. I couldn't recommend Kat and the project enough

Kat is an amazing host and truly beautiful human being. It was absolutely a pleasure to volunteer for the project and spend some time with Kat. We had great conversations and I learned a lot about sustainability and community impact in the area. Plus, the accommodation is super cozy and the area is beautiful! I had a truly precious experience here, and I would recommend it to anyone!

Getting involved with the project was awesome! It was really cool to be part of a project like this. Kat was a wonderful host and such an inspiring woman! It's in a wonderful location as well, and you can see around where sustainable use of the land has made an impact. Thank you!

I had the most fulfilling and heartwarming experience with Kat this week. I helped Kat and her organization SkyHarvest with Project Oasis, an initiative that aims to help the town of Bowie. The project is meaningful and important, and Kat took into consideration individual strengths and interests when assigning tasks. I enjoyed the work very much. Kat really took good care of me. She is a wonderful lady who shows genuine passion for life, and curiosity and care toward people she encounters; I have learned much from her. I felt like I found a home away from home and was very sad to leave.
