Our small hostel is truly amazing place to visit, live and work!
We are social hostel, creating vibes that brings guests and staff together.
With day and night activities - including free dinners in between - we really help create a community within and between the hostels for guests and staff alike. The social aspect of our hostel is what makes our hostels the best in the industry!
We are from all over the world. Creating a family away from home. Our work is our home and we enjoy what we do with whom we do. We share good moments and we enjoy life and Madrid.

Sungate one hostel isn’t a simple hostel, it’s a special place that remains in your heart , during the month and a half I spent there I found a second family, all the people who work in the hostel and all the volunteers made this experience incredible . Sungate is a hostel that catch your attention since you cross the door but the staff group and the good energy are the reason why you fall in love with this place. I had an absolutely amazing time here at sungate! I had the pleasure of meeting hundreds of travelers from across the world and created many friendships and memories! Everyone is so nice and gets along well, there’s a reason it’s the top rated hostel in Madrid!

My experience at Sungate hostel was absolutely phenomenal! The hostel itself is really nice with a great social vibe. Basically felt like a second home. The manager Valentin was so welcoming from beginning to end. He always made sure we were comfortable…staff, volunteers and the guests. If we had any questions or concerns he was always able to help. The staff was also amazing and gave good recommendations for the city. The work itself wasn’t even work, the shifts flew by and was usually packed with fun activities for the guest. Thank you so much Valentin and Sungate. I’ll be back one day!!!

Volunteering at Sungate one was one of the best experiences I’ve had in my life.
The hostel felt like home and the staff were more than family. Valentin is an amazing manager and he will always make sure everything is okay with the volunteers, the staff and the guests.
The shifts were fun, sometimes it didn’t even feel like work.
Thank you Sungate for pretty much the best month of my life, you’ll always have a place in my heart <3
