If you want to live a complete immersive family experience in Nepal, to experience Nepali lifestyle, rites, culture and customs while a leisure visit to Kathmandu or before and after your travel and trekking holidays you are the most welcome.
We are established as small organic farmers with our parents since 1995, we are permaculture family with two generation. We speak quite good English but our parents English is simpler.
It will give you an unique experience what is like to live with a real Nepali family making sure that your stay with us a truly memorable experience and definite you will leave as our great friends. As we have permaculture farm we can share knowledge and idea about it and sustainable way of living.
The house is only fifteen minute by taxi from thamel and thirty minute from airport (you also can come by bus). The monkey temple is only at 20mn at walk from the house.
You are more than welcome in this quite place, which looks like a village with less traffic and away from the city's noise and pollution.

I spend a week with Saroj and his family. They are very welcome and friendly family.
Saroj was very helpful with everything and his mom Sanu cooks delicious food for everyone. Was good to help the family with the little farm. The work wasn't hard they make your jorny very easy. Thanks you 🙏🏼

All the experience with Saroj and his family was just amazing. I felt so welcomed from the beginning they know how to create a home for us. I cannot forget the family dinners, thank you for your love! I appreciate it a lot when travelling. The work is not hard mama sanu and Saroj also work with you! Come to visit them!

I had the best time here! Initially I was only staying for two weeks but extended for a whole month. Saroj and his family are some of the nicest, most welcoming people I’ve ever met, I learnt so much talking to them and the food is amazing. Saroj gave so many great recommendations of places to visit that I never would’ve found otherwise, especially the yoga class every morning. I’ve made so many great memories and met some amazing people here, it really felt like a home away from home. I hope to visit again one day and couldn’t recommend staying here any higher!

Best Kathmandu experience if you are looking to live with the locals while also have free time to explore. Not in the city center, so you get to experience the real cultural life and being in the nature; but also not too far out, so you get to go to the city centre whenever and explore Kathmandu! Saroj and his family will cook you amazing meals, will take you to the Temple on Monday, and will give you the best recommendations whatever your plans and interests are. Had the best month I could ask for in Nepal, 10/10 recommend!!
