Amazing experience, 100% recommended! Managers Rulo and Irina are warm, attentive and genuinely supportive throughout. The kitchen work is simple and beginner-friendly, and the staff, especially Junior and Melva, are lovely. I also met incredible fellow volunteers which made it all even more special.
Accommodation is fine and practical. Note that the town is far on foot, but the bus is cheap and easy.
Only minor note: one staff member could occasionally come across as a bit cold, but nothing major given how welcoming everyone else is.

My stay in Bocas del Toro was incredible, especially thanks to the beauty of the place and the exceptional kindness of the locals. The experience is very authentic, even if the accommodation remains quite rustic, which is important to know before coming. My only downside concerns the agreement with one of the referring volunteers on site, whose behavior with my friend and me has not always been at the top. Despite this, the meetings and the setting made this volunteering memorable!

The accommodation delighted me! The work is really nice in the kitchen with Melva and Junior! Rulo and Irina are adorable! The whole team is wonderful. Additionally I shared the little house with incredible people from all over the world that I carry in my heart forever! Each detail can be discussed and the managers or owners resolve it! Keep in mind that the place is far from town, so you spend money on transport and food! I will remember everything with much love, thank you ❤️

I volunteered for almost 4 weeks at the lodge and I really loved it! The hostel and the people there are lovely and very welcoming. The work is easy and chill and you learn a lot about cooking and also improve your Spanish skills since the locals don't speak English. Even though the place is a bit further from the city there are buses and taxis, so it's no problem. So I really loved the experience, I met wonderful people, they made it feel like home and became a little family. If you think about doing it, do it. Thank you for everything!

I had an amazing stay at the lodge. The people working there are all so kind, and the tasks are really easy and enjoyable. I just felt at home ❤️ It was a little bit far away from the town, so it is great to reconnect with nature, see the wildlife…. but it's also easy to go to town, with taxis or buses, and enjoy the party life of Bocas del Toro ;)
