The Cottage - Help with performance horses

We are a family of three and are owners/ managers of a performance horse property in Victoria, specialising primarily in dressage and we are looking for experienced horse enthusiasts to assist us as stable hands/ grooms / riders. This is a great opportunity for horse enthusiasts to build on their knowledge and horse experience through working with experienced horse professionals.

We provide a relaxed supportive family environment with the opportunity to be involved in working with performance horses and potentially taking horses to clinics and competitions. Past backpackers have found it to be one of their best and most educational experiences.
We have many excellent references/ reviews from past backpackers who have stayed with us and we are happy to share these with you. We generally have 3 girls helping out at our property and some have stayed with us for long periods of time (from 6 months to 2 years). We prefer to take backpackers who are going to stay a minimum of 2 months or more.

I had an amazing time atthe farm! I spent 3 monthsthe farm Chris and Deb. They have around 17 horses to take care of and two very lovely dogs. You spent all day around horses, feeding them, riding/ lunging them and doing small tasks aroundthe farm farmfarmproperty. You live in a small house which is sharedthe farm one other backpacker and you get to use a car. They always have around 3 or 4 backpackers at their place so you get to meet amazing people. I got alongthe farm Chris and Deb very well and was honored that they even trusted methe farm their beloved competition ponies! My riding also improved a lot!

My last couple months on “the farmfarmfarm” were full of amazing experiences. This place is ideal for everyone who is interested in improving their horse riding skills, learning a lot in every aspect of life and getting to knowthe farm farmfarmreal Aussie lifestyle. the farmfarmtasks were mostly aboutthe farm farmfarmhorses, including lots of riding, feeding, helpingthe farm farmfarmfarrier and similar tasks. Everyone getsthe farm farmfarmchance to ride a lot, even less experienced riders, which makes this place really unique. We hadthe farm farmfarmpossibility to use one of their cars, so we were really flexible and could to things independently. Thank you:)
