The Lights Hostel
Looking for a fun hostel where you´ll have a good time and will meet people from all around the world while you get to know the Spanish culture! Don´t look further! We are located in a superb location right in the centre of Malaga. Come check us out and see why we love it here! We're a friendly place, its our place and we really care about it, so we want to give you the best possible experience while you stay in sunny Malaga, the warmest city in mainland Europe!
Our main goal is to create a nice, homey and fun ambiance, we always try to ensure that everyone is having a great time and make the most out of their experience at the hostel!
We spent a year renovating a historical building in a superb location right in the centre of Malaga and we are always trying to improve and maintain eveything in high standards.
We have 11 full time employees that you will be helping in different shifts: we always try to keep it fair so everyone get a mix of all the shifts.
Also, we are a vegan friendly hostel: most of our meals have a vegan or vegeterian option and we provide alternative for breakfast too!

I had a really nice experience working at this hostel! I met amazing people, made great connections, and learned a lot. It was a great opportunity to grow, share experiences with other volunteers, and the staff was very supportive and helpful. I also got the chance to paint and do creative things, which made the experience even more special. I'm really happy I got to be part of it and grateful for all the people I met during my time there!

This was my first volunteering experience, and I honestly don't think I could have found a better opportunity! The working hours were always respected, and the tasks were not difficult at all. The people are friendly, everything is well organized, and the location couldn't be better — right in the heart of Málaga, with the beach just a short walk away. Málaga itself is an absolutely beautiful city, which made the whole experience even more special. I would definitely recommend this hostel to anyone considering volunteering here!

My experience was very nice! The job is easy, you for the most of it just do check-ins or cook dinner, and sometimes helps around the hostel with other activities. the hostel is very well located, in the center of Malaga, and you have time to explore and go to the beach in the days that you have to work. I would really recommend if your looking for a calm but fun environment where you can just enjoy the beach or join the pub crawl.

I would definitely recommend the hostel to anyone - the hostel is great, the location is amazing, the city is super fun and beautiful, and the team are lovely. The work is super easy: 5 hours a day, sometimes just hanging out with the reception team helping with check in etc, sometimes cooking dinner for all the guests, occasionally helping housekeeping or running an event for the guests. I really enjoyed my time here, the included food was great to stay on budget, and there's loads to do in the area. Thanks for a super fun experience, I hope to join you again in the future, see you soon!

The hostel couldn't be in a better location in the city, right in the center with restaurants, activities and the beach all nearby. I have to say that the rooftop is the best place to meet people; the staff is very friendly, and the tasks aren't difficult at all and are very manageable. Coming here in the middle of summer was a great choice, I definitely recommend this place.
