I startet my travel journey here and I couldn't have imagined a better place to start it. David and Azmi are super friendly and always in a good mood. I had some of the funniest evenings here. I stayed 3 weeks and did a lot of cool things: using the Kayak, swimming in the bioluminescent water, driving a quad on the beach, hiking in the jungle, cutting my first coconut and tried a lot of different local dishes. It's definitely an adventurous stay and you need to be okay with living very minimalistic but I would definitely recommend it! Thank you so much David and Azmi for this amazing time:)

I had such a wonderful experience at the host. David, the host, is nice, easygoing, and takes good care of us. All the volunteers were friendly, kind, and helpful, and we made many good memories together. The location is beautiful, right by the beach and surrounded by the national park forest. I had so many first-time experiences here: camping, kayaking at sunset, seeing glowing plankton at night, hiking, playing ukulele on the beach, cutting coconuts, and releasing baby turtles. Perfect for nature lovers and adventurers. I learned so much and grew through this experience!

The experience at the host was really very nice. If you're lucky you can meet other cool volunteers, but it can also happen that you're there by yourself, or only with David and Azmi. The two are also very nice. You really live right in nature and the conditions are very, very simple.

The descriptions are very free and can be interpreted positively. The rooms are simple huts, the kitchen is very minimalist and the Internet is enough in a few spots for photos and messages. The bar itself is also just a simple icebox from which cans are sold.

I feel bad saying this because the place has the potencial to be 10/10. I have no problem adapting to basic conditions. However, the hygiene made me leave earlier. Adapting to nature should not mean accepting a highly unhygienic lifestyle (I spent a week caming and it was cleaner than that ahahaha). Personally, I wouldn't recommend it… unless you need time to reflect on your life and suddenly ask yourself “Where the hell am I” HAHAHAHA. If you survive a few days, you're mentally stronger ahahahha. David is nice, but I think he needs to be more open to other people's prespectives.
