Turismo Sostenible Achuar

Spending a few days with the Achuar community of Santiak, in the heart of the Ecuadorian Amazon, is to immerse yourself in a world where nature and spirituality are deeply connected. You’ll wake up to the song of the jungle birds 🦜, drink the sacred guayusa to connect with dreams, and learn from the elders the secrets of the jungle 🌳🐆.

During the day, you’ll help with traditional fishing 🐟, the cassava harvest 🌽, and building homes with ancestral techniques 🛖. You’ll be able to paint your face with natural dyes 🔴⚫ and learn about Indigenous medicine while listening to stories under a starry sky 🌌✨.

The Achuar are guardians of the Amazon and welcome visitors with hospitality and respect 💛. Being there is not just a trip, but a transformation: a deep connection with the land, the spirits of the jungle, and a sustainable lifestyle 🌍🔥. An unforgettable experience for those seeking authenticity and real learning! 💚

I've had an unforgettable experience with an Indigenous family in the Amazon. They have all treated me well, and it has been a very beautiful cultural exchange. Obviously, the conditions are very different for someone used to living in the city, but you are in close contact with nature and with an Indigenous culture from which you can learn many lessons. You can learn a lot about medicinal plants, traditions, crafts, hunting, fishing, and much more. I hope to be able to return someday and see them all again. Thanks again, see you later!

It was a very beautiful and pleasant experience, especially because Franco's family always welcomed us in a kind way, making us feel like part of their family. Franco always looked for ways to make us feel comfortable and help us with everything; what you live there is more than a volunteering experience; for me, I can say it was a spiritual retreat because that's when you really connect with nature, I am absolutely grateful to Franco and his family for having welcomed me and for teaching me about their incredible Amazonian culture 💗
