This hostal is great, the shifts are fair and you will have plenty of time to do what you want and explore Santa Ana. Everyone is really lovely and when I was there the other volunteers we’re a lot of fun. Erika is Súper flexible if you have something come up or want to switch something. I got some free events which was really fun, free laundry, free drinks at the bar, and $20 for working enough hours! Sometimes the bar is full of volunteers so you may also work just in the hostal running some events or cleaning.

Really enjoyed our placement here at Urban Nest! The hostel is so homey - there are starfruit, lime, and avocado trees which you can pick from, the kitchen is so convenient, and it all feels super comfy. The team is wonderful, both other reception and at the bar - super friendly and easy chats. Erika is also an amazing host, even though she isn’t physically here, she’s a great communicator and is always quick to answer any queries. Will definitely miss this place!

I had a wonderful time here and got to really practice my Spanish which was one of my main goals of volunteering. I did not stay at the hostel for my stay here which is totally fine because Rick's hostel was an amazing stay and has amazing people that I got to meet there. I worked my shift from 7-12am with one day 7-11pm. I enjoyed spending time with the staff at Rick's hostel and the staff at Chicken bus bar. The Bar is separate from the hostel and is a about a 5 minute walk from both UrbanNest and Rick's hostel. Feel free to msg me with any questions:)
