Venus Astronomía

We are an empathetic team, attentive to positive energy. We conduct astronomy and photography experiences in the desert. We have experience, youth, and motivation to teach and learn everything about the universe. Our project takes place in the best place in the world to see stars, San Pedro de Atacama.

I am a man who studies and works daily for the energetic good of humanity. One of my missions in this existential plane is to provide information and experiences in nature to the people around me. I am a nature tourism professional, mountain guide, climber, photographer, sociologist, philosopher, astronomer, and entrepreneur. Gender equality is our priority; racial and national equality is our message. I believe we are a team that works as a family, with the energy of the universe and a spiritual sense in each of our endeavors.

I'm very, very grateful to life and to Manu for making this desert volunteering experience possible. It has been beautiful to connect with the stars each night, to be able to share my interest and enthusiasm for astronomy with others, to marvel at the telescopes and to share this joy and wonder with the tourists and the other volunteers.
Manu has always been clear, fair with the schedules and conditions, and very, very generous in sharing his home and his energy. I only have gratitude for everything I learned and experienced, such a lovely experience. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!!

My experience here was wonderful and very enriching. Manu, the host, is a person with a big heart... Willing to share his knowledge, communicative, flexible and generous, he does everything possible to make the volunteers feel at ease. I was able to learn a lot about night photography and about the stars, which are topics I love. Moreover, the connection we had among the team has become friendships that I carry with me in my heart. I deeply appreciate the opportunity to live this experience and I always wish the Vênus la casa family all the best! 🙏💙✨

Manu is an excellent host, very attentive and available, and also a person with a lot to offer, with many life experiences that were very nourishing for my path. I appreciate the trust and, without a doubt, I would return. Beautiful to connect with the stars, learn the Andean cosmovision, and in that share with people 🙏🏽🙌🏼

It was my first experience at worldpackers and it was a great choice to start, San Pedro is touristic and welcoming, and living it all as a volunteer was incredible. The weather got in the way and we stayed most of the period without tours because of the clouds and rain, but we had good exchanges. The tasks were varied: preparing the cooler, serving the cocktail, organizing and taking the photos. Manu's house is great and comfortable, and the balcony is perfect for coffee and playing with Mandala. The internet wasn't good, so it's worth checking that if you work remotely. Manu was fair and flexible, an experience that marked me a lot!

10 days in Solor, 4 km from San Pedro. Small, cozy cabin with 2 bedrooms, kitchen, laundry, and solar shower. 4 people; host and his girlfriend, me and another WP. Each one has a role in the tours, fair division of the work. I made the cocktail. The weather prevented some tours, and we helped with the house cleaning spontaneously. We did 3 outings paying only the minimum costs while the host drove. Good food available. Points of attention: smoker's house, a cat, not enough internet and mobile signal. To work online, it was necessary to go to San Pedro to cafés. 1 hour on foot or 18 minutes by bike if available
