Villa Battiato

We are in a house with solar panels and well water, we have no acoustic or light pollution, at night you can see the stars, I am trying to turn it into a mini community of musicians and people with interests

I have years of experience working with volunteers through the Jam del Estrecho project with the Puertas Abiertas cultural association, in Bologna, where we carried out a musical project with volunteers from all over the world

The stay at Casa la casa was eye-opening, interesting, enjoyable, and challenging. Much of this has to do with Julian, who is a host in every sense of the word, from the first moment and contact we've made, always with predisposition, initiative, grace and empathy with his volunteers. Personally, in my first worldpackers experience, I think it was everything I needed, someone who makes the process enjoyable, who understands the complexities of traveling and handles them on your own in a perhaps new environment to put into practice skills and tasks that may not be so used to.

The stay with Julián was spectacular. A very warm person who was willing to share. We were left wishing there were more days.

The experience at the farm was spectacular, Julian is a very good host, kind and respectful. The working hours were respected. In addition to having the flexibility to work as we wanted. We had all the freedom in the world. That's why we got to see a big change in the house. Not to mention a kitchen and a completely new bedroom 😁. Julian's meals are very tasty and regional. We also went to see him play with his band and we had a great time. 100% recommendable. Not to mention the Cadiz beaches, which are the prettiest in Spain. I miss you already, beautiful girl 🐕.

It's an excellent place to volunteer. There are fewer and fewer places that live up to the value of volunteering, as today many hosts turn it into cheap labor. Julian is all that's good! He shares moments of conversation with his volunteers, especially when he prepares lunch for you. The place is in the countryside, but there is a bus. If you want to explore the different beaches of all the surrounding towns (about 10 within less than an hour), I recommend renting a car. It really is worth it. We would come back without a second thought.
