The home/nursery and the farm are located in Chapada Diamantina, city of Lençois, very close to the National Park and surrounded by hundreds of waterfalls, dozens of them above 100mts. Mountain sports and plants management are routines... Lençóis has a population of 10 thousand people, with more than 6 thousand beds for turists. It's historical and quite cosmopolitan city.
No staffs in the nursery and only one very wise local worker in the farm. The volunteers will be treated as friends, most of the time soft work (nursery) and sometimes fieldwork (farm), sunny days we go to one of the nearby rivers. Spending these days in the Chapada was amazing, we had the opportunity to enjoy Lençóis and a bit of the surroundings.
Diego greeted us very warmly, always helpful and friendly, we had great moments in his presence.
Regarding the tasks, it was smooth and the schedules were quite flexible.

Volunteering with Diego was very rewarding.
We had great moments in Lençóis, sometimes in his company for swimming in the river.
The dynamics of the tasks and schedules are are very relaxed.
It was very nice to help organize a bit of the backyard, which is becoming very beautiful.
Besides that, Diego is a very intelligent person; he knows a lot about local flora and the carbon credit market.
It was a learning moment, in the midst of the peace that the Chapada provides.

Volunteering at the Mudas house was incredible! The place is full of plants, trees, birds, and marmosets. The tasks are calm and flexible, allowing you to make the most of your free time, connect with nature, and visit several tourist attractions. The volunteers' chalet is comfortable, with an excellent location. Diego and Théo are warm, friendly, and kind hosts. It was a light and pleasant experience. I highly recommend it!
