Laura was an amazing host! She was very kind and generous, making sure we always had food and never worked too long. She shared many things with us including cakes, memories and knowledge of Mexico! The work was fun and easy, walking the dogs in the morning and then making a bamboo fence for the property and cooking food for lunch! We took a day trip to another town to see some pyramids and they were amazing, you can also take a boat up the river here and they have white water rafting! I would love to come back and spend more time with Laura and the dogs :)

Volunteering with Laura was such a lovely experience! She was so kind and welcoming, always making sure we were well fed and looked after. The dogs were absolutely adorable and we loved spending our mornings walking them then helping out with building fences. Laura even took us out and gave us heaps of recommendations for things to do in the area, which made the experience even more special. We felt so welcomed and really enjoyed our time here. Would definitely recommend volunteering with Laura! ❤️

This is my first volunteer experience, and I don't think I would have it better anywhere else. Laura is a very lovely, supportive, and caring person with a vibrant personality. She shared her favorite food, dessert (you must try their cheese pie), and activities with us, and was super lenient with my travel plan—she even helped me make a tour route to other states of Mexico. If you are a dog person, her place is a paradise. If you are a food person, her place is a paradise. So fortunately that I am both, so I had the best month of my life. I have nothing negative to say but be aware of bugs!

Laura, Ron and the dogs were a lovely part of looking after her beautiful beach guesthouse on the Costa Esmeralda. I went there alone and met 2 other volunteers who were also great to meet and hang out with. The work was not too difficult and the hour were not ling albeit can can very hot, but it was enjoyable and it was nice to help out looking after a lovely simple resort. There was plenty else to do, we went to El Tajin archeological site, white water rafting, took a boat down the river and then plenty of surfing in our free time. There are also some very nice restaurants for great seafood!

I had a wonderful experience here. I stayed for 2 weeks and Laura was a great host. This was my first ever Worldpackers experience and I arrived feeling pretty emotional being so far away from home. Laura was the perfect person to talk to about what I was feeling and she gave great advice for settling in. The work is fair and Laura is very good about making sure you don't work more than the agreed upon hours. I did things like cutting the grass, pulling weeds, walking the dogs, and building fences.
