The Experience

I live in a large historic house built in the 1940s that I am gradually restoring. The house requires light maintenance and general care. I have a one-acre garden where I practice boutique gardening, including planting and seasonal upkeep. I welcome Worldpackers volunteers to help with daily house and garden tasks including light repair, painting, cleaning, etc.

First things first: I had some of the best sleep of my entire trip here! My travel battery was completely recharged. The house is simple, a bit the home-school, and full of character. Don't expect luxury, but expect comfort. The host is funny, knowledgeable, and always willing to help. I learned a lot from our conversations and had plenty of laughs along the way. The location is amazing too. A cozy place, a great host, and a perfect spot to recharge before the next adventure.

This was an absolutely amazing Worldpackers experience. Our host was warm and welcoming, cooked us delicious meals, was very knowledgeable about the area, gave us lots of help in planning where to go and what to see, and often went with us to explore the local sites, acting as our own personal tour guide. We only worked about 2 hours per day, with plenty of time left for exploring all that Cappadocia has to offer. Public transportation was cheap and reliable, and the town is the most beautiful one in Cappadocia. We really enjoyed our time here, and Heval was the best host!
