I had an absolutely amazing time here! The host and the hosts family were so friendly, and I felt asthough I was a part of them. They brought us to everyday activities and made us feel so welcome. The tasks were easy and Nischal is very flexible with them.

I also took part in the motorbike tour he offers. This was such a beautiful experience. We got to see authentic nepali villages, beautiful nature and it was honestly one of my top experiences from Nepal. I absolutely recommend this experience! Thank you for this experience🙏🏼

I had the absolute best time at Sunny Homestay! Their family was so welcoming and kind, and I truly felt at home. This was my first stay as a female solo traveler, and I felt completely safe and comfortable. I loved being immersed in the culture and making a genuine connection with their family. I also did one of their Yak and Yeti Tours and highly recommend it! We hiked, saw waterfalls and natural swimming pools, enjoyed gorgeous views, and visited very rural villages with their own sustainable way of living. I'll always be grateful this was my first experience. 🤍

I had an amazing experience at sunny homestay. I felt welcomed in from the second I arrived. The food was always delicious and since it was right in Kathmandu there was always things to do nearby. I also highly recommend doing one of the guided trekking tours, there are so many options and it really helped me so much more of Nepal that I wouldn't have seen otherwise

Nischal and his family are so incredible to stay with!! Breakfast lunch and dinner were served in true Nepali fashion and were so delicious. Bring an appetite, his mother will not let you leave the table hungry. The “work” consists of mixing rice and grain for the chickens and chopping veggies… for maybe 30 minutes total. You get so feel right at home with his family and always have the opportunity for a bike tour! The home is beautiful and just far enough from the busyness but close enough to walk everywhere you desire.
Thank you Nischal and family for all of the love and hospitality!!

It was a very comfortable and welcoming family stay. There wasn't that much to do but therefore you are very flexible while staying there. It was a pleasure meeting you all!

I had a great time at the farm. Nischal and all the members of his family are very kind and helpful. The place is nicely located, a bit outside of Kathmandu but it makes it better as it is peacefull. There are not working hours per say, but only a little bit of work is done everyday. If you need a day off no problem just ask him and that's okay. Thanks nischal !

A truly welcoming and memorable stay! I had an amazing time at Sunny Homestay. From the moment I arrived, I felt completely welcomed by Nischal and his wonderful family. Their kindness and warmth made me feel right at home. Their Homestay itself is cozy, clean, and comfortable, with a lovely atmosphere that makes it easy to relax after a day of exploring Kathmandu. Nischal went above and beyond to make sure my stay was perfect, offering helpful tips, sharing stories, and always making sure I had everything I needed. I can't recommend Sunny Homestay enough!

I stayed with Nischal and his family for 1 month and had an amazing time. As a 1st time solo traveller, i wasnt sure what to expect but i felt so incredibly welcomed and this made such a difference for my time here. Nischal is a great host, ive had so much fun going out on the bike with him, and i can definitely call him a friend. I was also able to take part in 2 of the tours that his company provides (annapurna base camp and a 1 day bike tour) and i had the most fantastic time with both, easily the highlights of my time in Nepal so if you stay with Nischal you need to check them out.

Do yourself a favor and stay with Nischal and his family during your stay in Kathmandu. I came right during festival season and was included in all the family ceremonies and celebrations, and made to feel at home and welcome from day one. The daily work usually takes less than half an hour, and can be done at the volunteers pace and convenience. As a first time volunteer and solo traveler Nischals home has been the perfect base for exploring a new city and culture. No complaints, dhanyabad🙏

Nischal has the most beautiful, loving family - all of whom ensured I had a brilliant week staying in their home.

The work was very easy (just 30 minutes feeding chickens), but there was lots of fun to be had, even in the smallest of moments. Nischal is always there to ensure you’re enjoying yourself and having a good time.

Their daughter Sunny is utterly adorable, and I had many memorable moments interacting with her and the family.

Roshika also cooks some of the best food I ate in Nepal!

Highly recommend if you want to appreciate some slow living away from the bustling streets.
