Iordanis is a really nice guy. He took us out for Greek wine, to local street parties, and gave us a tour of the city. Our work was to clean the party place after a party and help with household tasks (cooking/cleaning) in the apartment. Iordanis was very aware not to let us work over our 4 hours and left us money to buy food for the week. The only issue was the living situation, we had 6 adults to 4 single beds and the apartment is not clean and has cockroaches in the kitchen. We tried to deep clean a couple times but it's very hard to make a difference. I would still absolutely recommend it

It was my first volunteering via worldpackers but Ioardanis is the best. The accommodation was perfectly fine; after all, this is volunteering not a vacation. The job didn't take up much time, and there was quite a bit of free time left over. It was also wonderful to meet other volunteers, explore together, and engage in cultural exchange. Ioardanis showed me the city and its spots, and gave recommendations. It was a very enjoyable experience.

Iordanis sent me an asbestos report showing the property had been tested, and there was no dangerous asbestos present in the area, with the only material being in the pipes, which remained untouched. The place is clean & very small so you may share a room with the host/other volunteers. I preferred having my own privacy, so I booked an Airbnb but still continued helping with the volunteering. He also kindly covered my supermarket expenses. The work is flexible. Overall, I would recommend it, but make sure you are comfortable with the living arrangements. Lordanis is relaxed and easy going :)

This experience has been incredible. Iordanis has become a friend by now, not just a host. He welcomed me, guided me, and let me use my creativity to handle various projects. I wish I could stay here for a long time—drinking white wine together and welcoming new travelers. After all, over these past two weeks, Iordanis's home has been a crossroads for people from all over the world. I can never thank him enough for his thoughtfulness, kindness, and dedication.

Without a doubt, this was a stellar experience. Iordanis was flexible to a tee, allowing me to pursue academic work while also helping him out with his projects. He covers groceries, a place to stay, and knows all the local spots to go to! I'd recommend him to anyone that isn't afraid of some tight spaces and is down to explore Thessaloniki in depth.
