The Experience

Our sanctuary is primarily home to over 140 rescued cats, dogs (including our paralysed section, where we need most help) and farm animals, the only one of its kind in the region. Many of our residents have been rescued from the dog meat trade and now live a peaceful life here at the sanctuary. The animals thrive in a calm environment so positive attitudes from those happy to pick poo, attend to health problems and practice physio are important.

Working at the sanctuary with all those animals was the best decision i could have made! Its an incredible place which cares deeply for animal welfare and its rescues. The working hours and tasks were clear and the accommodation was great. The host did an amazing job in making us feel welcome and teaching us everything there is to know about the sanctuary. I even extended my stay cause I fell in love with every single dog and the goodby was very hard. Working with the paralysed dogs was such a giving and unforgettable experience. I couldnt recommend enough to go there!!

Hours and tasks are clear and respected. The accommodation is also great, and the host is really nice and knowledgeable, so you can learn a lot from this experience.
Taking care of the paralysed dogs was an amazing and unforgettable opportunity. I got to learn a lot about animals, and the sanctuary is a great place, really focusing on the animals wellbeing. They're all lovely and I didn't want to leave them. You get to know them and they come to trust you, which is incredible. They all need some love.
I cannot recommend this enough. Cambodia is also a really nice country to discover.

Very nice experience! The team is so kind and they treat the dogs with such care. There is a commitment towards the well-being of the animals, while all of their personalities and quirks are respected. I was carefully introduced to the dogs that I was responsible for, and I will never forget my new friends from the paralysed section❤️and of course the sweet pitties. Hours are respected and the tasks are easy to follow! Highly recommend for animal lovers:)
