The experience

In exchange for 25 volunteer hours per week, we provide you with a comfortable bed in the staff room in addition to complimentary basic breakfast and dinner collaborations. We work hard and love to play! Come share your talents with us! You start with 6 4-hour housekeeping shifts and then move to reception as needed.

What you offer

25 hours of help per week

Reception: Help with check-ins, check-outs and guest assistance.

Party Promoter: Help organise and promote parties and social activities.

Housekeeping: Help with changing the bed linens and general housekeeping.

Cleaning: Help clean the kitchen, bedrooms, bathrooms and common areas.

What you get

1 day off per week

Shared Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other travelers.

Team Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other people.

Breakfast: You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.

Dinner: You are entitled to a free dinner, every day of your stay.

Discounts on Parties: Get discounts at nearby parties and clubs.

Discounts on Tours: Get discounts for tours and excursions around town.

Free Laundry: You can use our laundry room freely.

Free Tours: We’ll take you on tours and rides around town. For free!

Free Parties: Get free entrance for the best parties in town.

Free Events: Get free entrance for the best events in town.

Pub Crawls: Be a part of our pub crawls at local bars!

Surfboards: You can use our surfboards as much as you want.

Use our equipped kitchen: Feel free to use our kitchen and make your own delicious food.

Only hosts solo volunteers (doesn’t accept couples or partners)

We work hard providing professional service, clean amenities and 24 hour reception to our guests while also leading guests to the best local spots in San Diego.

Activities & Shift

Everyone in the cultural exchange program will work a total of 25 hours per week starting with housekeeping and moving on to reception and will lead one dinner and activity per week. Our activities include internal and external evening get togethers like a pub crawl, movie night, karaoke night, or something that is social that you love to do.
