We are a traditional Italian wood-fired pizza restaurant in Guilin, offering high-quality Chinese private chef experiences, and also a community-rooted public welfare organization. We believe that food, culture, and care can connect the world, and we sincerely invite enthusiastic, cheerful, and caring international volunteers to join us in creating a warm, shared community space!

This was my first time in China, and I can say I had a wonderful time at Yue Chai Fang. The staff over there was really kind and helpful, as well as Vera, the host, who helped me with every issue that I encountered along the way and made me feel welcome there. The workload was really manageable, mostly helping customers with their English as well as serving dishes and helping around. I had total freedom to enjoy my free time as well.

It was very nice volunteering experience in Guilin. The work was easy, usually it was interacting in English with kids and their parents, sometimes helping around the restaurant like serving the food. The team is good to work with, especially I liked having tasty dinners with them. I made some good friends among the guests, so I had a great chance to connect with locals and explore some beautiful places in Guilin. The accommodation was comfortable and clean, but need some time to get used to shower in the toilet.

Vera was the most amazing host and took great care of me during my time there. I had the opportunity to really integrate with the local people and see a better view of life in China. I got help there at a festival that was happening, teach English and help in the kitchen and general restaurant operations. In my free time, Vera kindly provided me with a bike and I was able to get around very easily and also did a weekend trip to Yongshuo. I would definitely recommend this opportunity, as you will get to meet some amazing people and experience great local immersion. Thank you for everything!

I had a really great experience here. The host was very kind and made me feel welcome from the very beginning. My main task was assisting at the pizza shop, and sometimes I also interacted with families and their kids who came in to practice speaking English with me. It was a fun and meaningful way to connect with people. I truly enjoyed the cultural exchange — I even learned how to make pizza and coffee, which was such a nice bonus.

It was a wonderful volunteering experience in the beautiful city of Guilin. I learned a lot about the local area and picked up plenty of food recipes. Working hours were fine, so I had enough time to explore around the city. The food was delicious, as the chefs were very professional. The owners and staff were extremely friendly. I had a clean and comfortable stay, and I really enjoyed the community overall. Highly recommended!
