I stayed with Sandra for three weeks. She is a kind person with an inspiring vision. The working hours were clearly communicated and the large garden offers plenty of space to relax; the surroundings are ideal for reconnecting with nature. Getting to Paris is a bit tricky due to the infrequent public transport services. It’s a very quiet area, but anyone who enjoys nature and climbing will enjoy the area.

Sandra is super accommodating and an amazing host! Hours were communicated and kept to, tasks were as described. Sandra introduced me to a couple locals who also climbed and showed me around the forest as well as suggesting a few places she thought I might like (which I did! )

Superb experience in the lodge 🌿💛 The place: truly special by being surrounded by the most magic forest, deeply connected with the climbing community and history and outdoor life. There's always something happening even being a little town. Sandra is the pépite 💎 of it all, the heart and soul of the house and a very welcoming host who has always friends and family around, making you feel immersed in the French culture of sharing quality time together. I gained so much confidence in my French thanks to Sandra's patience. The work: our missions were enjoyable, dynamic and varied 🎨🔨🪏🧹 Merci 🌳💛

Such a great experience! I originally came for a month and extended my stay for 10 more days. Sandra is so caring and easygoing, making every day very relaxed. She also cooked a lot of different meals, which were all really good. The work was always light and straightforward, leaving plenty of time to explore nearby places. I'm so grateful for this opportunity, and I highly recommend staying there!

The experience is incredible for connecting with nature. Sandra is a very kind person, and she's always available to chat about life and share her French culture. She also cooks really well :P.
Being here is amazing, and there is always something to do. She rents out cabins, and the idea is to help her collect firewood, clean, paint, repair, and do other things to keep the house and cabins livable and clean.
She also has two beautiful cats that are so adorable and kind to people. Another thing I really liked is that you can connect with people from around the world and share experiences.

Undoubtedly, it was the best volunteering I've ever had! It was an experience that marked me a lot and brought me moments of learning and self-knowledge. Since the first day, I felt Sandra's affection and dedication for the Gîte the lodge, for the community, for the animals and for the forest. The place is magical! I participated in cleaning, painting, construction, gardening, cooking and caring for the animals, always with Sandra's support. I also took advantage of nature up close, doing hikes, climbing and cycling. An incredible experience, with delicious food, lots of nature and wonderful animals, especially Carlitos🐈

This volunteering month at Gîte Arbonne has been one of the best experiences of my life! It’s the best volunteering I’ve done so far. Sandra is super kind, friendly and very empathetic. Her meals are delicious! My French and my climbing have improved a lot thanks to her and to her patience :) She introduced us to her family and friends, an amazing community! We can also bike, climb, and visit the small villages. The tasks were always fun! I miss Sandra already, but I’m sure we’ll be back! Thanks for everything❤️

Volunteering with Sandra was one of the best experiences, always kind and so attentive. Her meals were incredibly delicious, very varied and nutritious. I loved that, on some occasions, some of the vegetables came from her garden. There is a real connection with Mother Earth. Being surrounded by nature, being able to visit several places for hiking or bouldering, moving around by bicycle, and the tranquility of the town, are incredibly beautiful.

I stayed with Sandra for two weeks and could not have wished for a better first experience.
She is an exceptional person, incredibly helpful, generous and makes you feel right at home. The activities are really simple and on your days off you can reach Paris by public transport or use the bicycles that Sandra provides to visit the nearby villages. If you want to be in touch with nature and animals, and to disconnect a little from the hustle and bustle of the city, this is the right place. Thanks again, Sandra ❤️

Sandra is an excellent person! My best experience was with her. She lives in a natural paradise, ideal for disconnecting from the city, riding a bike or enjoying rock climbing. The neighboring towns are wonderful with a calm and harmonious identity. The volunteer activities are simple and she is always very attentive to everything. With her you can talk about many things, in many languages, and learn about animals and plants. The cleaning tasks are easy and quick. She keeps every promise and more. Her generosity is astonishing. I carry you in my heart! Thank you for being home 🫂❤️
