My volunteering experience in Bilebante has been enriching in every way. The whole community made me feel at home and cared for me like family. I loved teaching English, and the children were so motivated to learn, even during their school holidays. I also had the chance to immerse myself in the local culture, food, language, and traditions, which was a true gift. Finally, I was inspired by the incredible initiatives led by such strong and courageous women to support and develop Bilebante. So inspiring! Thank you for everything!

I spend 20 days in a local village Aid Berik in Lombok teaching english and french, and this experience was truly unforgettable. The people are incredibly kind and welcoming. The family I stayed with was amazing and made me feel at home from the first day. I arrived as a volunteer but I leave with a new family. Everyone in the village is caring and supportive, and the place is beautiful and peaceful. I felt safe, respected, and very grateful to live this experience. Thank you for everything, I will never forget this village and the people I met here.

Unfortunately, my time with the Tastura Foundation was very disappointing. From the beginning, there was a clear lack of organization and communication. I was placed alone in accommodation without prior notice, even though I was supposed to share a room with another volunteer. In addition, I was not given any clear schedule, structure, or guidance about my daily responsibilities. Even more concerning, I experienced sexual harassment during my stay….
